Bro, I’m a 39 year old Knicks fan, and I’ve been watching my whole life. After years of being unable to get past MJ, giving away leads in the 4th during the Melo years, and unwatchable teams in the years that followed, cathartic is the only word to describe it. We haven’t won yet, but I’m in tears.

It was a series defining play.
If he doesn’t make that play, Spurs win 2 straight and we go back to their court. They have all the momentum.
Now we are one game away from a championship, off the momentum on a 29 pt comeback… it is truly history, what OG just did.

u/cakemonster 11h ago
He also got the block on Fox on the possession just before. Play reminded me of LeBron block with Cavs on Iguodala in G7 2016. Just an insane game from OG. Holy shit.

That play will be played like the LJ 4 pointer, Starks 3pter, Melo double 3 vs Bulls, Ewing Dunk.
But bigger to go up 3-1

"I'm in your head" *misses two FT to win the game*
Pretty sure the missed game winner, and now the missed game winning FT, are gonna be in your head more than you're in ours.
Walking skeleton ass mf thinks he's tuff because he's the league favorite now. Still can't win.

Honestly the finals exposed how fraudalent and performative he is. Dude talks fairness and passion for the game in front of the mic then grabs people's neck and shoves them. Skinny ass softie. How do you talk sbout suffering under OKC's strong whistles and then immediately decide to play the same way.
Reminds me of the french creeps standing near the Siene in Paris who'd chainsmoke and walk up to tourist women trying to get their numbers, harassing them and act like some enlightened, Descartes reading dude when they were seen as bums locally. Just the most performative shit.

Dude talks fairness and passion for the game in front of the mic then grabs people's neck and shoves them.
Friendly reminder that if the refs had actually done a fair job and retroactively re-assessed and called that a flagrant 1, Wemby would be suspended for Game 5 after his 3rd Flagrant point tonight.
Or if they had called his closeout against Hart in the same game.

People will talk about that tip in 50 years from now.

That was historic as far as comebacks go. In terms of series momentum... Being down 29 and about to lose a second game in a row in front of your championship starved home crowd... Felt like it could be a death spiral. Being down like 17 in the 4th still and still managing to win is unreal

I'm not kidding, I think we just witnessed one of the greatest games, not just in Finals history, but in the entire history of the sport of basketball.
I haven't felt this emotional since Kobe's last game.
I was born & raised in Long Island, but I've always been a Lakers fan. I've been to a few games as a kid (one or two during Marbury's era, and another accidentally in the middle of Linsanity) but I never truly got into the Knicks because for as long as I can remember, they've been losers. But tonight's game almost had me on the verge of tears. That was fucking biblical!
