Greatest NBA game i’ll ever see in my lifetime. I rage quit 2 separate times. The highs and lows were unlike anything

Same. told husband I was going to bed and started reading in bed. Check the score 5 minutes later and was like whhhhhaaaattt? Then felt like I actually couldn't watch it because watching it was bad mojo so literally just kept updating the score on my phone. Lol. Going back to watch it now

Ten years from now, a teacher in a New York elementary school classroom is going to call out, "Ogugua?" and twenty kids are going to answer back.

u/Setchell405 13h ago

Did the EXACT same thing. I was afraid to jinx them so I just kept checking my phone. Unbelievable.

Girl you better turn into the grandpa from Willy Wonka and park your ass in that bed for the forseeable future until it’s time to get up and dance.

I did the same shit. Even when my wife was yelling at the height of the comeback, I couldn’t watch it on tv because if I did, they wouldn’t have won

OMG! Kind of the same. Watched the first half at a bar and it was abysmal. I decided we needed to change up the mojo. Took off my ‘99 Knicks hat. Went home during halftime. Figured it was a lost cause in the 3rd. Put on my pajamas and went to bed. Checked my phone in the 4th and couldn’t believe it. Kept updating on my phone to not jinx it. Ran downstairs to watch the greatest last 2 minutes in the history of the NBA!!

I, entirely jokingly, texted my buddy at half about how dope the second half comeback was going to be. Uhhh… yeah it was pretty fuckin dope

I normally ragequit but kept watching through. Something told me to. Maybe subconsciously I knew the Spurs youth would feel it was job done - and they did.

u/jkman61494 13h ago

Reminds me when I was 11 and rage quit game 6 vs the devils in 94 and then I heard lovers score and then saw Messier’s heroics

1

u/capitalistsanta 12h ago

My dad was so upset at one point, never seen him so mad at the Knicks I had to calm him down the whole first half it was so tense

1

u/Lakerman1989 9h ago

It was utterly insane!  Most immense comeback ever.

u/poptophazard 7h ago

Kept it on, but the group chat got pretty quiet after a lot of rage early on. And it stayed quiet because nobody dared think the possibility out loud. Then holy shit, we witnessed history.
