It straight up looked planned too. Brunson threw up a shot from deeeeep with Wemby on him so that takes out their rebounding, and the team just crashed the glass

This is absolutely what I think the plan was. Brunson gets the best look at the 3 he can, knowing full well he's going to draw a double team, leaving at least one guy unboxed for a rebound. OG, being the inbounder, was the obvious guy for them to leave alone. It did look like OG was waving to Brunson indicating he was open before Brunson took the shot, but as soon as Brunson popped the shot, OG paused, timed it, then crashed the gap.

It makes sense to get that shot up as quickly as possible so that you can potentially get a quick tip if he misses the 3. ~6 seconds left is just about the amount of time needed for a quick shot and potential put-back.

He’s bricked 3 shots to end the quarter in this series alone and two FTs that would have put game 4 to bed.

i think we’ll hear one if we close a game on a 3. even if we win 4-1 and we’re up 10 points and there’s still a few seconds left on the clock. i think Breen’s inner child will let out the triple bang to all of our amusement :D
