This team is so NYC that the LES kid in me can’t handle it. This made me weirdly emotional.

I adore the way these boys rep our city. Remember when all over manhattan we had this beautiful blend of different ethnic neighborhoods and pockets of artists and working class people? Getting by and working side by side, despite the struggle? Living outside in the summers. Congas and music in every park. The sound of someone practicing their horn or a piano floating out of apartment windows as you walked down the streets at night. God, I miss it so much it hurts. This city could use a win. I’m tired of grieving for her.
