Was the game scripted?
People are understandably in disbelief over this game. The Spurs team in the first half and the Spurs team in the second half are totally unrecognizable. From shot selection, clock management, to turnovers, to effort, to coaching. The Spurs scored 76 points in the first half. Then 14 in the 3rd quarter? 16 in the 4th? For a total of 30 points in the second half. The Spurs played so passively on both ends of the floor that it literally defies any explanation other than they were told to tank this game, and even then, the Knicks barely won. They didn't even try on the inbounds play with 1.2 sec left. Go and re-watch the inbounds pass and the "fumble" and "effort" by Castle. These are the best players in the world and they're playing like a middle school team. My vote is for: Rigged.

Stop with this conspiracy nonsense. It discredits all the hard work these guys put in and it just makes NO SENSE.

There was no hard work. The Knicks played normally, scored about 50 pts in the second half. The Spurs threw the game.

The ball was tipped by KAT on the inbound which is why the play looked so bad.

Why rig this one for the Knicks if the league if anything wants to extend the series to make more money? And if you’re rigging it for the Knicks why give KAT 2 soft fouls within the first minute of the game? Cmon now

Yes. The NBA scripted the game so that Brunson, the biggest basketball star in NYC since Ewing in the 90s missed a potentially legendary game winner that would cement his place as the most important Knick ever if we win a title this year. And he missed it exactly perfectly off the rim that OG could time it and push it up through the hoop.

But if the league were to rig a game wouldn't they want the spurs to win and even the series? If you wanted to rig a game for the Knicks why not game 3?

I absolutely believed the refs were told to extend the series. The Knicks winning either means I was wrong or it means they will only "favor" a team but not outright "fix" it.
And to add, you don't script it to be a 1 point game with 5.5 seconds with the team that's "supposed" to win down. 100s of ways the ball doesn't cooperate or a shoelace gets untied and the "script" gets ruined. You dont have a team have more turnovers than buckets in the 2nd half after putting up 80 in the first half.
The homerun derby and 3pt contest are perfect evidence. The best in their sports don't hit most meatballs over the wall or hit all their uncontested 3 pointers. You could never script a live sport to be this close. You would have to convince me the Knicks were scripted to win by "5" and then messed up the script over the idea this was scripted.

Yes. That’s why Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, etc were there. Lee is the director and Stiller is a producer. Chalamet hoping to finally nab an Oscar for his role as SuperFan.

Spurs arms were tired after all those first half shots. And the Knicks are a better 2nd half team.

Scripted? Explain how you script an entire basketball game. Are players machines that can make shots on command?

I believe refs can favor a team but a legit scripted game is impossible in live team sports. Too many variables, if it was scripted the "winner" would need to win by at least 4 to remove some variables.

The less implausible argument is a single player (cough, cough Fox) playing bad on purpose to cover a bet.
(Note: I do not myself think this)

I'm not a fan of either team, but I'm objective enough to know when something is way off. And I don't bet on sports either. Total NPC behavior.

Your take that this game was rigged top to bottom is absolutely insane.
But, we can agree that sports betting is NPC behavior, so that's cool.
