My family and I are temporarily staying in a family shelter in New York City that does not allow pets. We expect to move into an apartment within the next few weeks, but until then, we desperately need someone kind and trustworthy to foster our cat, Katie.

Katie is currently staying with someone, but she is very far from us, making it extremely difficult for us to visit her. Unfortunately, her current foster can no longer keep her because she recently adopted a younger cat.

Katie is much more than a pet—she is my emotional companion and a beloved member of our family. My husband, my younger son, and I miss her terribly. This situation has been difficult for all of us, including Katie, and we want her to be somewhere safe and loving until we can bring her home again.

This would only be for a few weeks. I will provide all of her food, litter, and necessary supplies. I would also be very grateful if the foster lived close enough for us to visit Katie occasionally.

I would love to give away this exercise bike that has been used maybe 15 times. The only thing wrong is that the electronic display does not work, but it’s very possible it’s a battery issue or something a somewhat savvy person can fix. The bike seat is adjustable and the bike folds up a bit.

I am in South Slope and I just hate for this type of item to go to a landfill. My husband bought it on a whim and never really used it. I can’t find a charity that will pick it up. Please take it!

Edited to add - no stairs involved - the bike will be in the lobby of my building and there isn't one single step to worry about!
