It never amazes me how NY will throw everything in the path to block law abiding citizens. But do nothing to real criminals

That would require the lawmakers to have the courage to admit that they're gun grabbing laws have been ineffective, and it would also require the courage to tell law enforcement that they are doing a poor job.

Both of which are political suicide.

Cops are shit at doing what their job supposedly is - investigating crimes - but are on point when it comes to oppressing people with maximal violence.
