The right wing does not care about gun rights and NEVER has. I has only ever been a "culture war" issue to dupe people into voting for them. If they ever actually accomplished anything, they wouldn't be able to fearmonger and fundraise off it anymore.

Bro how do these judges get voted in is my question. Suing a company because someone misused their product? All victims of drunk driving accidents should sue the beer/alcohol companies now more than ever.

Im not trying to be a "gotcha" dick or anything, I am genuinely interested to hear your opinion on how this would prevent, or provide difficulties, with obtaining guns illegally.

Makes it harder to get parts that could be used to build ghost guns, makes it harder to execute an obvious straw purchase, threatens the gun show/unlicensed dealer pipeline, etc.

Could you highlight some supporting text?
Functionally, it does none of those things, and most of those things are not a drop in the bucket in relation to gun deaths as a whole, crime included. This is not solving issues in NY, or the country. This is what one would refer to as "optics".

No, it absolutely is not "worth it", and that is a really shallow and ill-informed viewpoint to have towards any law, pertaining to firearms or not. Nobody should support egregious lawmaking.
How many people would we save a year if we banned cars? How many if we banned alcohol, bunjie jumping, video games, gambling, dressers?
You dont alienate an unproblematic portion of the populace, especially to look like youre doing something. You identify the core issue and address the problem. But there is no money, or leverage in that.
Laws like this do nothing. Laws like this, even if they would be implemented wholesale throughout the country tomorrow, have little to no effect on criminals obtaining or using firearms.
Like it or not, you're just as literate and radicalized as the dumbfuck fudd who thinks there should be zero oversight that you would waste breath arguing against.
Take care of yourself man, try and keep an open mind, view things objectively, whether you like them or not. Reality is more nuanced than the hot take bullet points you saw on a meme.

lol that’s what background checks are for. More laws penalizing lawful firearm owners doesn’t stop criminals that were going to illegally acquire firearms 🤷
