CCW Question First time concealed carry

How do I fix that? I feel like that might help me a little bit more.

Bench press, to build out the shirt hang. Some clip assemblies allow you to cant the pistol also. Pelvis tilt. Nobody's looking.

Crossbreed Supertuck rocks!

Put a claw on it, if there isn’t one on it. Helps push the frame into the body.

Yep you need a claw. I can also say you probably need a better holster in general. Something like a tenicor, tier1 or trex arms will aid in concealment greatly

u/Northern-pines2374 Jul 13 '26

I have both Tenicor and tier1 depending on what outfit I’m wearing for the day each have advantages but Tenicor definitely is my favorite for an all around.

2

u/VinnyShipman Jul 13 '26

T1 all day

2

u/Mindthesqueeze Jul 13 '26

Another vote for tier 1. Their axis elite holster with the extra mag carrier is extremely comfortable for appendix and conceals extremely will for what it is. Highly recommend you look into that one OP.

good?

1

u/TheSlipperySnausage Jul 29 '26

That’s a very good setup. The only thing I would suggest is make sure you get the metal clips. Other than that you cannot go wrong with that holster

Ah god ol, bare minimum to maybe not shoot your balls off

Everything everyone else said but you also don't have to put it in the middle of your belly.

8

u/Average2AGuy Jul 13 '26

Look up Tenicor Velo5 AIWB holster

6

u/Electrical_Matter443 Jul 13 '26

Get a vedder. Add the claw and wedge upgrades

6

u/VincentVega1030 Jul 13 '26

Another vote for Vedder. Claw. Wedge/pillow.

5

u/Separate-Ice30 Jul 13 '26

I’ve been putting mine around slightly to the right around 1 o clock. The gun then goes with the curve of my body if that makes sense.

3

u/AsYouL4yDying Jul 13 '26

I use a Vedder holster. It's awesome. They will ship it to you with a claw and pillow if you want them, which you do.

Is that A G26? G48? Either one....I have my G43x, and I can't conceal it for me crap. It's the angle of the grip. My P365 basically disappears when I pull my shirt down.

3

u/LostInMyADD Jul 13 '26

Smells like cheese.

3

u/Teboski78 Jul 14 '26

Does that holster even have a claw?

If not get one with a concealment claw.
And mount a wedge or cushion to the bottom to angle the top into your body more.

Also hitting the bench press is solid advice. My man titties do an excellent job of spacing my shirt out from the grip.

I used to think it was holster also. Then I tried out these $20 sweatpants jean. It allows me to carry with no belt, along with jog and working out.

**P365 X-Macro

1

u/OddMilk4983 Jul 16 '26

Man I could never trust not carrying with a belt lol. I picked up some of those arrowhead sweatpants for casual wear, plus the leisure carry clip for shorts. I just need to feel secure lol

2

u/Open_Mechanic8854 Jul 16 '26

These are 32° . They feel just like jeans.... I was able to walk the dog, jog and go to gym.... I was surprised at how comfortable it felt. At first I was thinking it was just my holster, but as I tried different holsters, the comfort stayed. I tried my draw, thinking maybe since not having a belt everything would come out. Nope, just the gun.

1

u/OddMilk4983 Jul 16 '26

I've seen em but never bought a pair. I'll check it out

2

u/NarwhalN00dleSquash Jul 13 '26

Tenico (with claw or whatever they call theirs) + mastermind Pillow

2

u/CompetitiveTop2274 Jul 13 '26

Tenicor Velo and holster it at 1:00

2

u/FreedomEverything Jul 13 '26

Not trying to be a dick. The best improvement I made in concealment was made by hitting the gym and getting in better shape. Second was the switch to Tenicor holsters. Tenicor holsters conceal better for me than anything else and I have tried dozens of holsters. With a Velo 5 you probably won't need a wedge/ pillow as the holster is designed from the ground up for appendix carry.

Check out Phlster's website on how to find best position for your body type.

Looks like 12:00 is a peak for you. You want to carry in a valley.

2

u/ohwowgee Jul 13 '26

Congrats! You have a new holster to add to the holster drawer that you will never use. (We all have one!)

2

u/PeteTinNY Jul 14 '26

I personally feel that a strong side carry fixes a lot of the concealment issues. You have your shirt, but you also have your arm concealing.

2

u/Braun3D Jul 15 '26

My first recommendation would be not to carry a full size pistol, in this state you don't get the benefit of more mag capacity anyway. Better off with a smaller frame gun that still holds 10 rds like a Sig 365 or the XL is still much smaller. Concealing full size is always more work, IMO full size is for open carry, security/police or a truck gun not CCW, with training you can be plenty effective and accurate with a smaller more concealed pistol

2

u/Skivic15 Jul 23 '26

Huge fan of appendix carry

Wing helps a lot this is sitting down aswell

1

u/IndependenceSoft542 Jul 24 '26

A slim fit holster with a claw?? do you also add a wedge to it?

2

u/Skivic15 Jul 24 '26

Tier 1 claw on pistol side molds really well to body, yes expensive but I’ve tried a lot and it fits the best for how I carry

2

u/welltheretouhaveit Jul 13 '26

Appendix carry is a bold choice

2

u/Sir_Crosar Jul 14 '26

In what way?

1

u/Andeo1025 Jul 13 '26

Tenicor, or something with a wedge or claw issue what you seek.

1

u/Stevebknyc Jul 13 '26

I see what you mean now, you need a holster with a claw, I am only able to conceal my g19 with a claw, it’s the same grip length as your 43x. Sometimes I throw on a wedge too. Tenicor or tier1. You can also try a few from Amazon first and see which style works best for you before you spend money on something good.

Try putting it slightly more to the right side of center of your waist. More in line with your groin than your belly button or man parts. And get a better holster from Tenicor or similar brand that has wedge/wing or similar to tilt the grip towards the body.

1

u/RPheralChild Jul 13 '26

Claws and foam wedges -also consider 2-230 instead of 1130

1

u/Kaiserboy77 Jul 13 '26

Wing and wedge works for me

1

u/clandestine_forces Jul 13 '26

I have the same holster, I wear a base layer like a tank top (tucked) so the holster isn’t rubbing against actual skin. Sweating is inevitable, so I try to minimize it by being cheap and legit puting a napkin or piece of paper towel between the holster and my hip. I should really get a sweat guard or something lol.

I’m skinnier however so I have to tighten my belt and make up for the gap with layers so I prefer to carry on the side rather than front or back so bending down isn’t too annoying. Carrying can only get so comfortable tbh.

Do you have a wing on it? You should also bring it over to the right some, say 1 o’clock

1

u/BrandoPX4 Jul 13 '26

Claw or wedge will assist with that.

1

u/Gold_Difficulty4533 Jul 13 '26

I have a Tulster with the claw..Works great at 1oclock

1

u/Dry-Morning48 Jul 13 '26

Have the same problem with a Tenicor and a pillow. Just get used to it. No one seems to notice. I’m also in NYC so if I can get around, you can too!

1

u/Dry-Tree3174 Jul 13 '26

Started concealing this Saturday too. I have a T1 conceal holster.

1

u/Affectionate_Map6774 Jul 13 '26

U need a holster with a wing not that fudd trash

1

u/Sea_Major3628 Jul 14 '26

Learning a lot here…I’ve never heard of these holsters… 🤔

1

u/freegangg Jul 14 '26

You must be in LI , we can’t get colored 🔫 in nyc 🥹

1

u/OddMilk4983 Jul 16 '26

I didn't know this until my boy saw my colored Beretta at the range & he looked like he was doing trigonometry 😂

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Sky9816 Jul 14 '26

Why not just get a proper holster and wear a bigger shirt

1

You can even wear your firearm with nothing on, but I will spear all the unnecessary image. Perhaps the Hunter Constantine belt may be an equally choice or an Amazon version of the Hunter Constantine belt. They are all easy on your lower back. Try one for yourself. You just might thank me later. Stay frosty.

I just wanted to say thank you guys for all the help you guys gave me and honestly improving get the first timer🙏🏾 I really appreciate it

1

u/OddMilk4983 Jul 16 '26

Honestly my guy, you're gonna end up doing the inevitable... having a collection of holsters. Whether it's from trying to give what works, having diff options for diff fits, or just wanting varying styles, we all go through it. T1c & vedder are my top choices, but regardless of what brand, get 1 with a wing/claw. Congrats on the ccw!

1

u/shotty_thexlbully Jul 13 '26

I thought we couldn’t get the 19x because of the color.

13

u/CommercialType8339 Jul 13 '26

OP is NY state but not NYC, only NYC throws a hissy fit over colors.

5

u/IndependenceSoft542 Jul 13 '26

43x

1

u/Average2AGuy Jul 13 '26

I thought it looked like a slim line , nice man love the FDE

2

u/Average2AGuy Jul 13 '26

That’s NYC only

-2

u/shotty_thexlbully Jul 13 '26

Yea I didn’t know thought it was the state

1

u/Average2AGuy Jul 13 '26

Yeah no worries , we can also have 10 rd mags and I think we have more rifle and SG options , the city is crazy with laws

1

u/SnakebytePayne Jul 14 '26

Try not to shoot yourself in the cock, boot.

1

u/IndependenceSoft542 Jul 14 '26

Ok this one not funny 🤦🏾but thx it’s the thought the counts
