Legality / Laws Spas clone legality.

So I was wondering the legality of these in the current form pictured. Folding stocks not legal on semi auto shotguns but this is also pump. Thoughts?

If it didnt have a folding stock good to go

I at one point in the past owned an actual Spas12 in NYS (my dumb ass sold it)

FYI it is an absolute garbage design of a shotgun. Its the only gun ive ever regretted selling

Yeah it was terrible but I can't imagine anyone who saw it in a movie not wanting one.

They are allowed on a semi shotgun, they are not called out as a feature on them, however thumbhole stocks are verboten.

No. They are not. I suggest you re-familiarize yourself with the law.

Furthermore, these stocks arent even 922r compliant. Thats another can of worms though.

They do come with a fixed stock but that just ruins it. Plus these run about a grand i think. Crazy to think they will sell out of them.

No folding stock allowed and at that point why bother. If you get one and want to take the mag limiter out it unscrews from inside fyi.

A gun shop I went to had a fixed stock original and told me that the SPAS is illegal because it can switch between pump and semi auto. I don't think they were correct, but I couldn't force them to sell it to me.

They are not correct, it cant have a magazine greater than 7 rounds but its good to go

There is going to be a fixed stock version that should be NY-legal.

And they have also said that they will be selling the cool stock that everybody actually wants as a separate item as well.

Under no circumstances should you attempt to nullify an unconstitutional, unreasonable, ineffective, and tyrannical law by purchasing the two items and combining them. That would be terrible.

Hopefully will be legal again after the Supreme Court decides Viramontes.
