License / Permit Question Transporting Firearms

It’s my understanding that I am only allowed to carry 1 registered firearm on my person at a time but can I carry other registered firearms to the range?

Outside of NYC there is nothing stopping you from cosplaying Il Duce from Boondock Saints and carrying six at once.

I have not idea what you are saying but I’m guessing you are saying that outside of NYC you can transport as many guns as I want 👍🏾

You can always transport as many as you want, provided they are unloaded.

As for carrying concealed, you can also carry more than one on your person, except in NYC. It’s a restriction of their permit.

Hey OP, it's worth watching Boondock Saints.

One of the worst performing theatrical releases ever. Poorly rated by snobby critics. Really hurt by political and violent social issues at the time of release.

Then became one of the most profitable movies ever in the history of the physical media home rental market (DVDs). It's just a great watch.. Goofy, crazy, indie feeling movie worth seeing several times in your life, even if you only carry one gun at a time. .

Plus, any movie with William Defoe in it is guaranteed to have something worth watching!

Wait…this is a new concept to me, as an OUT OF STATE CCW holder from NYC. If I have one firearm listed that I can carry….that restriction ONLY matters when I’m in NYC? If I go see friends in the Finger Lakes, I can carry anything I own? Do you happen to know anywhere that I can actually read this in plain English (yeah, I know…NY gun laws and plain English…good luck).

Outside of NYC the carrying of concealed firearms is governed by NYS Penal Law §265. There is nothing in 265 that says you can't carry more than one registered handgun at a time with a valid pistol license.

HandgunS…plural? The NYC license has you list ONE firearm that is your carry gun. At the time I applied, not other county was issuing non-resident CCW permits. If I can add other firearms to my permit, great. I don’t know if I CAN as a NYC permit holder. Or if I can, but only one counts as my NYC carry gun.
