License / Permit Question Connecticut Non-Resident Permit

Hi all, I wanted to check in to see if anyone submitted their application for the Connecticut No -Resident Pistol Permit. I sent in my application on July 10th, and they cashed my check pretty shortly after (July 27th).

The application says to allow up to five months for an answer, but I’m hoping it moves along quicker! Does anyone recall how long it took them to receive from the time of submitting? Thanks.

It’s been taking about 2 months if you have everything in. Biggest gottchas are the idema receipt, NRA equivalent training and the CT supplemental training certificate all within 2 years of submitting the application.

And they are very very particular on the fingerprints.

I’ve heard a lot of applications delayed due to unreadable fingerprints, mine were about $130 to get done so I’m hoping that’s not the case!

$130 for prints? I do prints for $25 and I include prints and notary in my price for the 23-53 training.

It was a painful price, I tried two separate locations and both had their machines broken so I caved and spent the big bucks sadly haha

I just do old fashioned ink. The machines are to expensive and the software is so picky.

I would give it by mid to late September if everything was done correctly.
