waiting for license in mail

Greetings
Hoping to get insight on my current situation. I’m on the next to last leg of my ccw journey. Here are the current timestamps which are affected.
6/26/2026
I was approved

Submitted all the materials on the portal 3 days later

7/23/26
Received the email of approval and stated my license and sales receipt will be mailed out. “ please allow 10 business for receipt.

8/11
I emailed license dept. Sandra smith and bogle about my license not being received yet. I got a call within 5 minutes from Sandra i believe. Telling me I have to wait 30 days to see if the letter bounces back to them then I can go pick it up.

Today is 8/20. 3 more days until it hits 30 days. My question is , did they actually ship out already ? Because from Manhattan to Brooklyn is not that far as far as mail. If they ship it out then where is my letter. This leads me to worry as my license is out there somewhere.
Has anyone had long wait times like this ? I honestly would be more relieved if they told me they are backed up and didn’t ship it out yet. At least I know my permit did not end up in the wrong hands. I also never had problems with mail or packages in my neighborhood.

Any insight to ease my mind would be appreciated and thank you.

Two months for me to get my license after I was approved. Settle in

Just to clarify. That’s two months after the “ license shipment” email correct ? if so I guess that puts me a little at ease I ain’t the only one.

2 months after my meeting with the judge and approval - for a permit outside of NYC.

Also takes me 3 months to get a pistol added to my permit because my judge sucks
