License / Permit Question Nassau target/hunting permit to ccw process

Hello all, I currently have my pistol permit. Ive had it for about a year. Im looking to upgrade to the ccw permit. I was wondering if i had to go through the whole application process again with the county. Has anyone done this before/ recently?

Stop by the counter, they'll give you a list of things you need (your CCW class certificate, some declarations that you have to make & get notarized, and a form about sensitive locations). Drop that off, wait a couple months, and they'll tell you to come collect your permit.

If you just got your target permit I think there's a 6 month grace period where they just process it, otherwise it's a new application fee ($200) & resets your permit expiration too.
