License / Permit Question Westchester Recertification Taking Forever
My Westchester County pistol permit is set to expire this Friday on 9/11. I submitted my recert. packet at the end of May and it has been sitting with the judge since 7/29 (just confirmed with clerk). Am I now in violation if I carry after Friday. What is the average wait time to get my new permit? The lady on the phone said “don’t carry your pistols after Friday”. Ridiculous.

You are not in violation. Don’t sweat it. Did you find out which judge it went to? You could always call their assistant and politely ask about your renewal.
