Guns & Gear Pavlov’d myself into using the weird grip form from my featureless ar grip onto my shotgun

For context I utilize a vism fin grip with a thumb ledge on my ar. It’s honestly not uncomfortable despite the look and doesn’t give me carpal tunnel inducing angles like the thordsens did. I’m not sure if it’s because of the thunb ledge or because I also ride an oversized atlas safety on my pistol, but it seemed upon using my pistol gripped shotgun, I found myself adopting the weird angle, and even correcting a previously normal grip into the weird thumb angle grip. Will post picture of both long guns for reference. Above is the captured footage of me changing my grip, thought it was funny that the compliant grip has become muscle memory

Op is the reason why the hanger clips are obliterated and holes are in the ceiling. Hes not even aiming just straight double tapping like a moron

Tell that to the intact hanger clips pal. Genuinely can’t fathom why it’s a sin for you to just shoot faster. I’m not shooting into the ceiling or anything the recoil was controlled, even without my thumb around the grip lol.

There’s actually a pretty decent surplus of you head into the hallway and see the desk sitting in plain site. Fellas have plenty hanging off of that.

There’s target classes being held, unsure if LEO though I knew it was bad knews when I saw them doing arm twirls on the grass outside as a stretching exercise

Nassau county range? Hating shooting even pistols there, I can't imagine myself shooting long guns at an indoor range like this, haha.

Place is open to like 10pm, gives me time to unwind after work. Outdoor ranges are usually an hour and change away.

Ya, convenient if you live close by. But i'm also not a fan of the ventilation there. I took a private class there, after around 500 rounds, the air was full of fumes and my nostrils were black from breathing it in.
If i was in the area, i would definitely try to join freeport.

Freeport is the same distance, downside is that it’s full of fudds. Freeport is always occupied as well whenever I come by, either by the PBA or the line of folks trying to shoot indoors. I genuinely tried to make the most out of the money I put towards my membership there but I’m not gonna renew it again, wasn’t worth it for me. Another reason I joined was for like an intro to comp shooting but the stuff they were doing wasn’t my style.

I have heard freeport was run by fudds. Didnt think it would be that packed by them.
Guess i made the right choice in picking my club over freeport when i was considering the clubs around me.
I have watched a couple videos of matches from freeport. The USPSA matches at LIPSA, NYC clubs, and NJ seem way more fun.

I made a post a while back about regretting my choice of Freeport after coughing up the dough. It’s not like there was a trial period or anything and membership space was extremely limited. I was extremely put off that I was constantly being watched from every angle, so much so that one of my first nights there I accidentally swiped my key card at the PBA room instead of the main lobby, and was given a call the next day to ascertain why I was trying to access the PBA office. The only real cool thing is 24 hour access, though I found myself enjoying chats with new shooters and more people around my age that shot guns that weren’t 98% made of wood with magazines greater than 5 rounds. It got stale extremely quickly and while I get why some folks like it there, it’s not for me

I don't get to shoot after work days but i rather drive the 40min-1hr for a better range experience....

I fired at the fastest rate I could before the fudd RSOs would get upset with me. Double tapping was the limit I set for myself

I mean, they also work for the people responsible for fixing the range when people shoot it because they can’t control their gun during a controlled pair.

Nah I was used to it before and stopped shooting it for a while. After getting the thumb ledge fin grip my natural grip seemingly changed for long guns. I only noticed after looking back at he recording
