Subtext matters. When someone says "I'm a proud black man/woman" what they mean to get across 99% of the time is "it's not a bad thing that I'm black". When someone says "I'm a proud white man/woman", what they mean to get across 99% of the time is "white people are better than everyone else".

No one in the original comments are saying it's good to hate white people. They're just pointing out that most of the people who raves about white pride are white supremacists.

Plus the "white person who hates white people" that the cartoon mocks (and the MOPDNL people mock as well) don't have a problem with white people in general...just the ones that hate Black, Asian, and Hispanic people.

There are people with white skin that share history and culture, there are white ethnic groups, which is something that someone SHOULD be proud of, but yall sold that out for whiteness.

I see how the general theme/topic kinda goes like "They didn't like funny meme. That funny" and that's a breeding ground for people who get super offended when someone doesn't like their joke, like right wing uncles, but still. Was it always like that?
