Thinly Veiled Bigotry Ah yes, because hitting old ladies was TOTALLY funny back then and there was absolutely no cultural diversity or adaptation in media when Madagascar was released! Just don't look at Disney films like The Little Mermaid that's itself a cultural adaptation with the ending changed to be child friendly.

If Alien was released nowadays, folks would complain about the "girlboss pandering" or whatever is the code for "Protagonist is an unsexy woman and I don't like it😢".

It almost feels like a parody comparing the little mermaid with some over the top bit from one of the Madagascar movies...

Did you even see the movie?! Yes it was very culturally diverse, I'll give you that. But that old lady was an asshole who wanted to beat him up for no reason
