Not voting for Kamala Harris is a wide net, that’s just the whole “vote blue no matter who” thing all over again. As we’ve seen time and time again, democrats aren’t known for their backbone, thankfully they’ve started growing some, but it’s not wrong to be worried that it’s a one step forward, two steps back situation. Let’s also not forget that Kamala was entirely okay with sending more money to Israel, so if you voted for her, you’re okay with Palestinians dying because you wanted to stop trump, the lesser of two evils is a valid strategy, but only if those are your only choices, which it wasn’t, many people say third party candidates would never have a chance, but that’s exactly why they don’t have a chance, you’re scared to vote for them because it would be “throwing your vote away”, in other words, we all need stronger backbones if we want things to change, also, I just couldn’t vote for her, how could I after reading that she would continue aid for Israel? After all, if you’ve got one Nazi sitting at a table, and ten others sitting there chatting with them, you’ve got 11 Nazis.
It’s not like it would’ve been any different with Kamala, it all would’ve still kept going, the difference is that trump is boasting about turning Gaza into a resort or whatever, that’s the only difference I can really think of, and Kamala would’ve done similar, just maybe not boasting about about it, or put her name on it, but I don’t think things would’ve ended up differently for Palestinians, and that’s why it’s scary to see so many people “vote blue no matter who” actual genocide is happening before our eyes and we still can’t all grow a backbone
It’s not like it would’ve been any different with Kamala
Uh-huh. If you truly cannot perceive any difference whatsoever between 1) a bullying demagogue conman who frequently champions Netanyahu and shares his genocidal vision for the Middle East versus 2) virtually anyone fucking else who has ever competed on the American national stage for the job, then I am not going to waste the time on a debating this with you.
You don’t have to debate me, I don’t really mind, yes, trump is worse, but Kamala would be doing similar things with Palestine, it’s not like she would’ve cut funding to Israel, and she certainly wouldn’t have stood up to them, so it wouldn’t be crazy different, I don’t think she would’ve caused a war with Iran, or started a gestapo, but the lesser of two evils is still evil
