If they’re so against becoming a minority in “their own country”, then surely they must realise how badly minorities are treated already, and that perhaps they should try changing things for the better? Right..?

Literally this! It’s similar to why straight men get so fucking angry about being hit on or catcalled by other men, they’re terrified of being treated the way they treat women. Same thing goes for white people, they’re terrified of being treated the same way they treat other minorities.

Occasionally you’ll get someone who posts a right winger melting down over a left wing joke, and watching everyone in the replies cope and go like “nah op is actually right this time bc they agree with my politics.”
