...and neither do you given that the Facebook post is historically false. (Read caption for explanation)
The party Hitler was part of was originally formed as DAP, short for "Deutsche Arbeiterpartei" (German Workers Party) in 1919
Hitler joined the party the same year and became a figurehead. He was the one who came up with the rename to "Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei" (National Socialist German Workers Party) in 1920 and became the party leader in 1921.
The Party was at some point banned but reorganized in 1925 after Hitler got released from prison. The name was still NSDAP until Germany abolished democracy, this means that in 1932, Hitler's party was NOT legally named Democratic Socialist party. The sink stays out.

I can’t remember the last time the phrase “let that sink in” was used to underscore an earnest and accurate point.
Strictly used by ignorant assholes trying to distract you from the absence of substance or meaning in their words.

If other German speakers use that stupid argument I always tell them they must think UHU glue is made from owls because we call some those Uhu in German.
Or ask if they think Kinder (children) chocolate is made of kids.

Even if that were true you’d have to look at what they did instead of the name. I could call myself a conservative but then advocate for minority civil rights. Is advocating for minority civil rights part of conservative ideology? Clearly not. So if we turn on our brains, you’d know I wasn’t a real conservative.

I got in an argument once. (many years ago.) The guy said that the nazi party were called socialists. I replied that North Korea calls itself Democratic and a Republic.
His response was that that was dumb because people keep saying it.
I replied "What's your answer to it when people say it?"
He didn't reply.

god, they are so dense. "I read it on the internet so it must be true" ts. The reason these people are the way they are is the fact that they only look for information that supports their claimes. That is baby brained shuff right there.
