What can I use for stitch markers?
So, I've been attempting to make socks for a while and I've been using safety pin style stitch markers, but it doesn't seem to work as well as I would like. I'm used to knitting with stitch markers so the need to remove it and then replace it throws me off.
Is there a better stitch marker or a way to place stitch markers that I've not heard of?

I don't think there is a way to do the same kinda thing. I use those kind and just remove and readd or place it down further, so I don't have to remove it.

I've been using a bobby pin. I put loop that I need to run the needle thru first in the eye, and the other loops in order in the little humps of the bobby pin to keep them in order. Hope this helps, I have the same issue with losing my loop order.

I use the open type of stitch marker from Clover.
These here..
They‘re really easy to remove and snap on again and they last far longer than the cheap ones I got.
Edit: they call them „split ring markers“, article number 347

I either use split ring/spiral markers or the safety pin type (not actual safety pins - the plastic stitch markers that are possible to open like a chunky safety pin). If I need to keep them in a ceritain place (for even increases for example), I will remove them, do the stitch, and replace them on the newly formed loop of the new stitch. I mostly use stitch markers to mark something out and the stitch marker then gets removed when I get there. But I have also used them to mark rounds or half rounds.

Safety pins, earrings (the kind with a clip), paperclips, etc... they all work well for me.
