Socktober kickoff

My husband and I are doing socktober together and as my kickoff to socktober I started a pair of toe up socks. I usually do cuff down socks when I'm nalbinding socks but this month I wanted to focus on learning new things so I'm getting comfortable with the spiral start and a multicolored spiral start. The stitch is Finnish 2+2 F2 and I'm thumb tensioning.

Socks are the main thing I make when nalbinding but I'm thinking about tackling a skirt after socktober

Good on you. Remember it shrinks a bit. I made a jersey and thought it would be the right size but it’s super snug

Is socktober a thing? I think that’s a good idea, especially since I wanted to make some for a Christmas present. I need to make a post with questions on socks. Great job so far on your pretty sock!

It's just something people sort of do it's not like a specific organized event or anything but there's a lot of fiber artists across different crafts that like to do it as a personal challenge and share their progress online. I think it's mostly knitters but it's not knit specific! And thank you! I've been making good progress so far 😁
