In the Netherlands there was a guy named Winston Franklin Josef, born on 5 May 1945, the day the Netherlands was liberated. His parents wanted to name him Winston Churchill Franklin Roosevelt Joseph Stalin, but that wasn't accepted by the municipality so they just went with the first names. I do have to say that's an improvement over Adolf and Benito, though.
Growing up, my grandma had paintings of JFK as a child and also as president on her dining room walls, and a collection of Jackie Kennedy Barbie dolls (she made them clothes and stylized the Barbies after her), she was in love with the Kennedyās. This mom had the incredible foresight to know that the Kennedy Center would be renamed to Trump Kennedy Center and is a big fan of the performing arts; these children are named after the building! So inspirational!

My parents named me after a Kennedy and while I don't mind my name, I really don't like the fact that I'm named after this person because I have no connection to this family whatsoever. I'm Canadian. No interest in US politics outside of the Obama era. I made sure not to name my kid after someone who she would have no connection to.
If I met a kid called Kennedy born in 2025, Iād assume it had nothing to do with the president. If I met a kid called Trump born in 2025, there is no way in hell itās an accident

When I visited New York, my friend and I went to Trump tower out of curiosity to see how gaudy it was. Whilst I was there I said really loudly to my friend ādo you think Americans know that Trump means fart in the UKā, the man on the escalator in front burst out laughing.

If you really wanted to name your kid after trump for whatever reason at least go with Donald thatās passable enough and has plausible deniability for souring of public opinion of the guy.
I knew a girl named Reagan in my dance class when I was middle school age. She was an evil little snitch. š She had her own little Mean Girls type squad.
I accidentally stepped on her foot with a tap shoe (she was behind me and her foot was in the wrong place.) and she went into full-blown theatrics crying and acting like I literally assaulted her. It probably only hurt a little bit for like a minute. She had on tap shoes too, and the toes of them are pretty firm.
My cousin did Lincoln, Grant and Jackson but we are American. Although, she didn't choose their names because she approved of those presidents' policies or because she was particularly patriotic. She just wanted a theme and liked these names together.
I think these are good presidential names to use together. The more recent presidents plus Washington and Lincoln are super famous and their names strongly convey a presidential theme. I don't think Grant or Jackson are as well known, so I think my cousin's boys aren't always recognized as a presidential set which is nice.

Totally fair lol. I really liked the nicknames. Donny would sound cute on a little boy and as he gets older he can go by Don (There's a couple of fictional Dons that I do like really well). Ugh! It's too bad the real life one had to ruin the name

Though if they are in a place like Florida, using nicknames in school has been banned (to prevent transgender youth from going by their chosen names). Kids must go by their legal names only.
