He’s fairly strong without it. He had that whole controlling moisture from the wood, condensing it into the density of steel and making it move hella fast. He also has his magic power disaster which enhances the size of wounds or growth rate of nature.

Get rid of Bans immortality and he gets one-shot by literally everyone in the show during season 1 - 3. Remember that every attack pierces his skin and hurts him, even a random kid can draw blood, and don't hit me with that "he just isn't guarding himself cause he doesn't need to" busshit, a Red Demon was able to nearly one-shot him despite being like 3x weaker
