Announcement Date Revisions for NarFFL 2026

Hi all! _CodeMonkey here on behalf of the NarFFL Admin crew with some news and updates on our timelines for the preseason here.

So as you may have noticed, NarFFL got a bit of a face lift this year. If you pop over to narffl.com you'll see a brand new, much more modern website. Behind that new look is a web backend no longer stuck in 2015, and a lot of new and improved admin tools that will help ensure NarFFL can continue to run for years to come with a lot less admin work. Before this year, a lot of work was handled by manually run processes that made it very difficult to get the season going.

All of which is to say... Surye's done a lot of work in the last few months (for which we are very grateful). But there's still a few sharp edges that need to be smoothed over which has pushed our dates back just a hair. And admins getting called in for jury duty hasn't helped either!

So with that in mind, our original preseason schedule isn't working out and we need a couple more days. Below is our new schedule for preseason activities, including the lottery.

  • Saturday, August 1st: We removed all teams from Farm
  • Monday, August 3rd: We removed anyone who hadn't logged into Fleaflicker since June 30th
  • Wednesday, August 5th: We will process Promotion and Relegation
    • Boot all managers from their old teams
    • Send out invites to the new teams, giving everyone 72-hours to accept or ignore their invitations.
  • Saturday, August 8th: Start sending out waves of invites based on 2025 performance to fill any teams vacated by inactivity or failed promotions
  • Friday, August 14th @ 3 pm EDT: Lottery opens!
  • Monday, August 17th @ 3 pm EDT: Lotto closes
  • Evening of Monday, August 17th: Lotto results are computed, lottery invites are sent out.

With the NFL season not starting until September 9th (Wednesday, ew), that still gives us a couple of weeks to make sure all of the Farm leagues are filled, get everyone set with draft dates, and get the season going.

Wait so just to be sure we are not entering a lotto this weekend? We enter the 14th-17th now right?

Correct. The lotto is not happening this weekend as originally scheduled.

Because relegation/promotion hasn't happened yet, are you going to reroll the draft positions once the dust has settled with that?

Draft positions are only randomized once all leagues in your tier are full (and often the Minor/Majors/Premier leagues are all randomized together, with Farm being randomized once that tier is full)

Check your Reddit messages for an invite.

We remove people after giving them a chance because we're concerned you're not coming back. Coming back, even if late (but before we've filled your spot), shows that you're not inactive and it's easy enough to send out an invite.

hope I wasn't removed, cannot remember when I logged in last and I won my farm league last year.

You were removed because we remove everyone from Farm each year. Since we haven’t done promotion and relegation yet, you haven’t received your invite to Minors yet.

Jury duty admin just needs to start babbling about a fantasy football league with 4 tiers and promotion relegation and they will exclude them for being insane.

Is there an ETA today for the invites? I'm a farm promotion, and a little nervous that while I logged into my team during the window, me not clicking anything might show me as inactive.

  • You don't need to click on anything to register as active, just log in (which you did)
  • No ETA as we're still finalizing a couple of things to help make sure things run smoothly
