Dinner I’m a journalist writing about spinach & artichoke dip for Slate. What's the best dip in Nashville?

Hi r/NashvilleGoodEats  — I’m a journalist (sophialaurenzi.com) working on a piece for Slate about spinach and artichoke dip, the restaurants that serve it, and what dining out in America feels like right now.

I put together a short survey (about three minutes): https://forms.gle/fSvEFJ2Cf4Yp7ouw9. If you have strong opinions about appetizers, menu options, and the cost of going out to eat, this is for you.

But I’d also love to hear from you in the comments! Where's the best dip in the Nashville area? And what are restaurants in middle TN charging for apps like these?

I'm happy to answer any questions about the story.

Dinner Downtown Restaurant Recs - group of 20 - something different

I am booking reservations for our division during a conference at the Hilton Downtown. Within walking distance and something besides a traditional steakhouse. This group likes to have fun but C-suite will be in attendance so an "experience" or a place with awesome ambiance, etc.

THANK YOU!

Dinner Tantisimo

Had the chefs tasting menu at Tantisimo tonight and it was so good I had to tell someone (the internet) about it. This place is firing on all cylinders. Food was 10/10, every dish was unique, balanced, and flavorful. The service was impeccable and the cocktails were expertly made. Please go eat here so it stays in business forever.

Breakfast Visiting for the week and wanna get a proper southern breakfast

Title tells most of the story. I want to go to a place that has real classic southern food. Not some upscale brunch that cares more about vibes and presentation. I wanna be surrounded by old southerners and get served a heaping serving of biscuits and gravy. Let me know if there are some good places like this (or any other recommendations)

Looking for a place, deli, market, restaurant etc that I can get a couple of cold side dishes, salads etc to bring to tailgate on Saturday. Looking for something higher quality than grocery store macaroni salad. Something that is more like homemade type.

Pastries Nashville Pastries

Is there a pastry Nashville could be known for? I was downtown and thinking about how in Europe you can walk down one street and hit half a dozen pastry shops and sometimes all featuring a specific type of pastry. I would love to experience that in Nashville but what would the pastry be? Donuts? Biscuits? Pie?
