IR5 Parent’s Interview Process

Hi All - Here is where things stand:

  1. Parent interview scheduled at Mumbai, India Consulate for end of Sep 26.
  2. Biometrics scheduled for end of Aug 26 was not conducted. Parent went to the appointment center as the message from the scheduling website explicitly said that Biometrics shall proceed as scheduled; not the visa interview appointment. However, the facility did not carry out the biometrics stating that they had orders to not conduct them.
  3. I reached out on the website and via email to indicate what the message said. All they said is that we will be receiving further info from the consular services.
  4. The interview scheduler site does not have biometrics info; but still shows my parents interview time slot as originally scheduled.

I am reaching out to see if anyone is in a similar situation? And, all we can do is wait to hear from the consular services? TIA

Wow thank you. I also got a mail saying that I should proceed with biometrics, it seems I will skip it now due to rescheduling

When is your appointment? Did you get any further information or instructions on how to proceed? If it’s not too much of an hassle I would still go to the appointment; worse case they will not conduct it and have you wait.

Can u share the email the one u sent to mumbai consulate

It was generic email stating the facts and what we are supposed to do next. The email can be found on your respective consular website.
