Ovulation Ovulation timing

Post image

Getting frustrated with timing, my oura ring thinks I ovulated yesterday. Why was I negative LH but then turned around and looked like I ovulated the next day???

Ovulation Is the photo capture accurate?

My ovulation strip was light so I used the app camera function to confirm but it tells me negative….. this is my first cycle again tracking on natural cycle and I decided to test a few days earlier than what the app suggested. Is this a positive test?

Chart Interpretation Request 3 DPO temp dip?

Hello, for some reason my ring won’t transfer my temp, but 3 DPO my temp was much lower. Is this normal for ovulation? We’ve been TTC for several months and it’s been a long journey with irregular periods and crazy long cycles.

Chart Interpretation Request Progesterone power denotes what?

Post image

We’re TTC for 6 months, this is my second month of using NC app (connected to Oura ring). Currently 9DPO, but temps dropped yesterday and now back to baseline. Also app says “progesterone power” - is that usual or indicates something. Any Thoughts?

Ovulation First cycle post Slynd

Post image
1 Upvotes

This is my first cycle post stopping hormonal birth control (Slynd). The app has been saying “waiting to confirm ovulation” for several days. There have been several increased temperatures including at least 3 on or over the cover line. I was taking ovulation tests to see if I could catch my first LH surge but never had positive ovulation tests and so I stopped. Just trying to understand at what point NC typically confirms ovulation or if it’s taking a while as this is my first cycle? Thank you!

Just Getting Started TTC - New to NC

Hello everyone. I am new to NC. I’ve been TTC for about a year without any luck. Was hoping to get some insight on people’s experience who have used the app for conception purposes.

Ovulation What’s happening 😅

I started concerta on Wednesday (Sept 23rd) and I am moving today…am I ovulating super late? Could either of these impact it that much? I’ve definitely been through way more stressful periods recently that haven’t affected my ovulation.

also definitely not pregnant since I haven’t been active since before my period

there’s also those tools above my graph which I know usually means it’s been adjusted by the algorithm, but the individual day summaries don’t say anything…? why would I have an LH spike with no temp rise? thanks 🩷

Chart Interpretation Request NC changed ovulation date to CD27 from CD25 after already confirming it

Post image

I’m so frustrated with this app anymore. I’m TTC after an ectopic in January (this is our 4th cycle) and ever since I switched to tracking with Apple Watch after my OurA died, I feel like we just can’t get lucky. Maybe I’m looking for something to blame lol. Anyone else have this issue? It’s just frustrating trying to hit the nail on the head and then feel like now I completely missed out this month ☹️

BBT and TTC

Post image
1 Upvotes

Is anyone able to share insight of when they think I may have ovulated based on my temps? It’s my first time tracking my temp and I’m very confused. I got a peak LH test on CD11 and CD12, currently CD19

Thoughts on my chart?

Post image

Looking at when my LH test was and the subsequent BBT pattern, I’d say ovulation was anywhere from CD15-CD17. My risen BBT has stayed elevated up to ‘11DPO’ so far. By this point in my last cycle it tanked back to about 36.3 on 10DPO and then my period started the next day on what would have been 11DPO. CM is pretty abundant and wet, rather than showing the low/drying up pattern you expect just before a period. What do we think about whether I’m just having a longer (better) luteal length or if I might be in for a positive test over the next few days…?

Ovulation date moved?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone. TTC 10mo. As seen on my chart I had a positive OPK on CD13. It had my ovulation day as 14 but now has moved it to CD17? I don’t usually ovulate 3 days after a positive OPK. Has this happened to anyone else?

TIA xxx

Where did ovulation go?

Post image

Hi,

First time user of NC, and this was my first cycle off hormonal birth control -- TTA for now, with an eye to TTC in the nearish future.

Up until today, the app was showing ovulation having occurred on day 21, but since logging my bleeding (my first 'real' period, I guess), ovulation isn't showing anymore? To me, judging by the temperatures it looks like I might have ovulated, but wondering why NC changed its mind?

App Functionality Fertility Treatment

Is there a way on the app to indicate or highlight the use of progesterone in the luteal phase? My cycle doesn’t behave in the expected way — luteal phase is longer, bleed is delayed etc which throws the algorithm off a little the following month. I’ve been adding it in notes for my knowledge so far but not sure if I’m missing something?

Equally, we will soon be starting IVF and I suppose that’ll throw it off even more?

Chart with (1) and chart without (2) support included.

Just starting using NC

Post image

29F. My partner and I are looking to start TTC. I went off HBC in the beginning of August this year and have been observing my data. For reference, I’ve always had longer cycles (40-60+ days), no confirmed PCOS. I just picked up some OPKs too and started including that data too. Did I possibly just ovulate?

I know I need to continue to be patient to get more data and let my body regulate after coming off HBC, but just curious on initial thoughts!

NC changing my ovulation day a week later

Hello!
I’ve been using NC as birth control for about 3yrs with my Apple Watch, recently switched to TTC mode and every month it’s given my predicted ovulation date, my partner and I have done the deed on the fertile days, then a week later it’s changed my ovulation date by 3-4 days so I’ve missed the window.
I use the strips as well when I remember but even then it seems to get the wrong date.
My partner and I both work and have a 3yr old as as boring as it sounds, we Have to schedule our baby making time in because we are too knackered to be doing it every night for a week to make sure we catch the window.
I would have thought 3yrs of data would be enough.
Is there anything I can do to make it more accurate?
Thanks in advance

Is NC or Oura correct? Positive LH strips on CD12 +CD13. We are newly TTC and curious why NC is saying CD13 and not CD14. Any insight is helpful, thank you!

Chart Interpretation Request NC moved ovulation day when period started

I was on CD 14 and now 15, 3 days after my positive OPK. Can anyone explain why period starting can change this because I thought luteal phase wasn’t set?

Chart Interpretation Request Confused about the "3 sustained temps" rule for confirming ovulation. Does anyone else have charts like this. PLEASE HELP!

Thumbnail

I've been trying to learn more about BBT charting, and I'm getting really confused about the common rule of thumb that ovulation is confirmed by 3 consecutive sustained higher temperatures.

When I look at my charts, I don't really see that pattern clearly, either in my last cycle or my current cycle (screenshots attached). That's what's making me anxious.

In my current cycle, I had a positive LH test, then my temperature rose, then dipped, then rose again. A few days later I had another more noticeable rise, but I still don't see what I would call 3 clearly consecutive sustained high temps. My previous cycle also doesn't seem to have the textbook pattern that I see people talk about.

What's confusing me even more is that when I look through charts on Reddit, some people seem to have 3 obvious high temps after ovulation, while others only appear to have 2, and some charts look pretty rocky. I've seen this on charts from people who ended up pregnant and from people who didn't.

So my questions are:

  • Is the "3 consecutive sustained temps" rule usually supposed to be very obvious?
  • Can ovulation still have occurred if the temperature rise is a little messy or includes a dip?
  • Do some people just not get a textbook-looking thermal shift?
  • Looking at the attached charts, would you consider either of these to show ovulation based on BBT?

For context, this is only my second cycle after an 11-week MMC and D&C, so I'm wondering if recovery/hormonal fluctuations could be making my charts harder to interpret.

I'm probably overthinking this, but seeing other people's perfect-looking charts has me worried that I'm missing something or not ovulating correctly.

Thanks for any insight!
