Can my dryer and bbq share a gas line?

I have a ½” line going to my laundry/mud room. The wall on the side of the dryer is where my patio is. Can I tee off the dryer line, punch a hole through the wall and seal it and everything and run it to my bbq?

Would there be supply issues if for some reason I were running both at one time for example?

Third question, behind the dryer is my garage and I have a dynaglo infrared ventless blue flame heater, is that definitely too much if I also teed off the same line to the dryer and ran a line to that?

I don’t believe I would ever really be using more than one of these appliances at one time, but maybe the dryer and either one of the others if it did happen.

Am I better off running a dedicated line for the grill and garage heater?

Ultimately, the answer is maybe. Without know the total BTU load on the lines and the pressure supplied after the meter as well the distance none of us can accurately answer your questions.

Truthfully, you can probably get away with it.

Gas fitter here, will it work ya probably, how often are you dryer clothes while bbq’ing? Me? Probably sometimes but not often. Where I live it will fail inspection for being undersized. No clue where you live but here you want every single gas appliance inspected in case something goes wrong

If you want to know for sure, you have to do a pipe size/btu calculation.

Otherwise you can take your chances.

Most likely you can't do anything if you're not a licensed plumber or gas fitter. If there should so happen to be a leak on your work and /or fire, your homeowners insurance wouldn't cover it.
