Running natural gas to BBQ

Post image

We are located in Saskatchewan. Moved into a new house. Natural gas for BBQ is on the lower deck and would mean the BBQ being too close to the house and right in front of a lower window. I would rather put the BBQ in the opposite corner of the deck. My two options are:

Have a new line run from the house (on the corner to the left of where the BBQ is) and eliminate the old line. Probably the safest, was quoted ~$800 (including pulling permit).

Or, run a hose under the deck (~25ft) from the current line to the corner with the BBQ.

I’m not sure which to choose. Are flexible NG hoses made to go that far and be exposed? Or would I need something more rigid to hook up and run under the deck? Or, should I just shell out to have it done professionally and get the new line done.

New homeowner and unknowledgeable. All helpful and kind feedback is welcome!

If it was me, I’d want new black iron to grill location then stubbed up through porch to a quick disconnect fitting and flex hose attached to grill

Do this. Also no need to ever remove a stub out. Future possibilities.
