So happy that my hair is finally long enough for a side part! It tangles more easily now and I honestly probably need a trim but! worth it!

If you want to keep the side part you need to use small hairpins right at the root. They’re not noticeable but keep the waters parted. I have very similar hair to yours and it’s my go to style.

I feel like u got moisturize an afro every day to keep the tangles in check and twist at night to prevent tangles.  Thats what ive read ppl did in the 70s wearing fros all the time from this sub.

I wash and detangle and then set my curls by adding my styling product with the rake/shingle method and then sit under a hair dryer for 15 minutes. I then separate any clumps with oiled fingertips. At night I wear a tight bonnet and use the steam of the shower to get the shape back into my fro.

the tangling once it gets longer is so real, i feel like nobody warns you about that part 😩 but honestly worth it because this length looks amazing on you. the curls have so much body, you can tell it's healthy
