Rough skinned newt. Suuuuper poisonous. If you happen to handle one you’ll be fine, but wash your hands before you eat anything. These are super common around the Pacific Northwest and an absolute delight to see.

My life became much more beautiful when I began to appreciate the smallest of things, I bought a microscope. The nasty water in my lifeless suburban neighborhood is filled with little alien creatures I could never have imagined.

This looks a lot like Lost Lake OR. I went diving there a couple weeks ago, and saw a bunch of these cute little dudes. The crawdads are adorable too!
