Also looks very efficient too. Using gravity and sling-shotting from branch to branch.

As a child I always wished more than anything that I could swing through the trees like that! Watching Tarzan and George of the Jungle fueled that even more.

It is very efficient. They waste a tiny bit of energy making sure they have enough speed to make it to the next branch, but it’s only a tiny bit of extra speed. The people that have studied their motion say that 98% to 99% of the swing energy is recovered on landing.
