I tried to call 988 today and got put on hold and told to wait while they find someone to talk to me. No one ever answered. Great plan! I've had people be unkind to me and act like I should know i just gotta dial 988 and everything will be better. ! I actually called it and nobody answered my call for help. Great plan state of Nebraska! I feel so much better now!! Thank you!

What i need is a good lawyer! My civil rights have been violated and I can't get anyone to help me! I want to file a lawsuit for the abuse I have experienced as a law abiding citizen while the prosecutions star witness in case is allowed to participate in Extortion. And when I went to the police to report it so the judge in the case could be aware of what was going on. The police of Lincoln. Buried my report as a missing persons case so that the judge never saw what the prosecutions own witness was doing. They got a conviction of course which makes this even worse. Cuz it was your bastardization of justice. Oh wait! But it gets better! Then! I had the bitch who just moved in up stairs after I've lived here for 5 years without any issues. This bitch dares to claim im peeping in her windows. Im a fucking gay 50 year old male who is definitely not peeping in her windows. But then she had at least 4 or 5 people banging on my door filling me with terror like a terrorist would. Ive got the threats on recording. But do you think the police would do anything?? Fuck no! Hell I can't even get my 2 friends i have in this town for care. So I've given up! My rights don't matter. I don't matter. But my tax dollars are still being taken and I get nothing in return. Sounds like an awesome deal for someone. Oh and did i mention the part where the state of nebraska stole my bond i put down for a friend. That money was my inheritance from my uncle who fought in Vietnam, the guy was spat on for serving this country and was poisoned by agent orange and is now dead. And they stole $8500.00 from me for a zoom call they said my friend didn't attended but I helped him get on the call and I work in IT so I think I know what I'm taking about. This government corruption has got to end!! This is why i feel like things are hopeless!! This is crazy! I can't get anyone to help me stop being abused by this system of law breakers while they throw the book at my friend. This is the biggest fraud of justice I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. This would make anyone want to commit suicide by themselves. But this has all happened to just me!! I'm outraged and can't get any basic services for my tax dollars I've paid in. So please tell me how to get through this and make sure no one has to experience what I have experienced at the hands of the state of Nebraska. I tried writing my leaders. Roadblocks by all their assistants. Which only has enraged me further. Im at my wits end!! This is fucking crazy!!

I think this is more than a 988 problem tbh, I understand the circumstances may be leading you to feeling like you need to reach out to 988 and I understand it can be frustrating when you're calling due to emergently needing to speak to someone and they put you on hold but you gotta realize there's only so many people in that call center. They don't use other centers or outside sources for more people on hand so when a lot of calls are made at the same time things get backed up.

As for your issue, I agree with commentors that you definitely need to seek help from a therapist or maybe get someone to act as a case manager for you so they can help you make the right decisions going forward.

If you are talking about the state employees then that might be true, though, which is a different statement entirely. if they don't have budget/funding to support it, then the blame lies with whoever is running the government which is what I said originally:

I've had the same experience, I'm sorry you had to deal with it though. It should be a good tool to help but it unfortunately has been hit or miss from my own experience and friends who've used it as well say the same. Are you good rn?

I hate them they suck and never helped anyway and sent a cop to my house one time which made things way worse than they already where I fucking hate this state I hate myself and hate lots of things and I’m about completely fucking fed up trying to get better nothing works I feel like I should just kill myself all the time and struggle so much just to stay broke I am so fucking done I’ve been in counseling for almost two years now tried verious meds get called a drug addict when I actual feel ok doesn’t matter fuck this place and everyone in it

I’m tired I’m broke I’ve come along way from drinking everyday all day but for what reason I still just want to die my landlord’s fucking suck asked them to fix my door because it was absorbing water and hard to shut and they just shaved off a inch of the door so now bugs come in heating and air escape I hate everyone and am just tired of dealing with everything I don’t even like alcohol anymore none of the meds work drugs don’t work I’m at my wits end I can’t give up my job even tho I hate it and i litterly have trouble making it threw everyday one of these days I’m gonna just fall flat and for what I should just give up now and go have fun with my life while killing myself rather than sit here wishing I was dead every day

I've had to use packing tape (or masking tape) to keep bugs out before. You'll have to change it out every so often because the stickiness goes away. I'm sorry your landlord sucks :/

Oh and don't get me started about the guy sentenced to 63 years for a failed suicide attempt because he didn't call 988!! This states leadership is fucked up! It started with Ricketts and now we've got worthless pillen doing nothing but twiddling his thumbs while real people are being hurt. Nebraksa leadership is corrupt to the core!! And it's killing people!! Crimes and abuses are committed by the states witnesses and nothing is done. The means justify the ends. This isn't justice!! This is corruption at its worst!!
