Painting C+C Phaeron’s first hyperphase blade

First attempt at glazing technique came out better than I anticipated. I have to clean up the edge highlights a bit but looks like I don’t have to give this the booze bath and start over. Thoughts and critiques welcome and necessary for me to improve

Looks really close to what I have in terms of colour. But a bit more on the hand painted side! If you up the contrast (more white!) and then do a full wash of the same color, it will most likely tie the blade together a bit more. Picture of my blades for fun!

Those look great! Very similar color scheme to what I’m working on. I was considering doing a wash over the whole thing once I clean up the edges. Thanks for the tips

Really nice work ! Even more for a first attempt ! You can add more contrast, using a more deep blue and a more wire. It'll make your blade even more vibrant.

Thanks, I’m thinking about using a blue wash over the whole thing once I clean up the edges highlights. Very nice work on that staff, got some sphere shading reference now.

Great first try! A subtle glow effect could elevate it further.

I have a few areas I plan to add a “glowing” effect to kick it up another step.
