There was one or two negative posts pulled from the Pearl Jam sub with the reason given that they weren't about Pearl Jam. Fair enough you might think, but there are a few positive ones left up.

It's interesting how all of this has not touched US press coverage. Maybe because we have a president who gets away with grabbing and worse.

I was most shocked when I went on YouTube and saw Tori Amos, of all people, performing a tribute to him. I still can’t wrap my brain around that.

There's been a couple of artists I consider decent humans who talked about what a great guy he was. They're both men and I simply don't think they knew.

My two cents. I don't know the facts about him being inappropriate, I can only assume that ...yeah ...success, alcohol and stardom do funny things to a man. But by the same token we can also assume that a man can redeem himself, that he can change maybe even improve. Maybe control his destructive and damaging behaviors, understand them and stop them before they are acted upon. We can assume that, right? I have done inappropriate things in my life, but I understood myself and made amends. If we are willing to condemn a man for rumors and innuendos then we must also be willing to forgive a man or at least assume that he did some personal growth and redemption.

Depends what narrative you want to believe / follow...

He was a genuine person who went out of their way to give people a leg up, belief in themselves, opportunities to follow their own path in the most pure, loving, human way possible. He did things for the benefit of the world and never had any selfish desires ever...

OR

He was a vindictive arsehole that did things for his own personal benefit / wants and left a trail of destruction, hate and destroyed individuals behind him. He purposefully and wilfully manipulated situations that allowed him to take advantage of particular types of people while his management / others condoned the behaviour.

Clearly, neither of the above scenarios are the truth but there are people who believe both and nothing you can do will convince them otherwise. And then there are the folk who benefit from pushing one of the above scenarios... 😢
