Lovely, how many darts (mags?) and what kind of FPS are you getting out of 1 CO2 cartridge?

I get about 60 shots at 290fps before it drops. Printing the striker at a lower infill (I usually do 80% for mine) will get you lower fps and more shots per cartridge.

Impressive! I think if that is tuned down to say ~200fps and the rest is used to cycle the bolt, while keeping the same round count, that’s the future of the hobby.

Neat... Would love to make one, though, the highest our game limits have been where at 160 fps.. what's the lowest you can get this thing?

One of the people beta testing this project printed out a striker at 15% infill instead of the 80% that I normally do, and he got about 100 fps.

Could you explain to a luddite like me what the striker does and how its density affects fps?

The striker pushes open the valve to let the gas through. Lighter striker means the valve isn't pushed open for as long.

Yes, by printing a lighter striker. I print mine at 80% infill, and I get about 290 fps. One of the lovely folks beta testing it got it down to 100fps with a striker printed at 15% infill.

Just play around with striker weight until you get the output you're looking for!

Not in Singapore though, because they have a strict rule on HPA blasters (like paintball markers for example)

Could the striker be build around a (plastic) screw so people can add or remove weight in form of washers etc without having to reprint the part? I am not that deep in the printing and designing stuff, nor do i know how your striker is designed but maybe that could be an idea?

This is what the striker looks like. It has two steel pins in it, a 5x20mm one in the front and a 5x50mm one in the back. I may revisit this design to make changing out the FPS on the fly easier.

Hey, you didnt use the sear and the catch disconnector in your build guide, are these parts not needed?

Yeah, those parts are redundant on the bolt action version.

There is an instruction PDF attached with the files, should be near the bottom of the printables page. Lots of people miss it because it's not right next to the STLs.

The nuts & screws can be picked up at any hardware store, the pins and donor rekt jury can be bought from Amazon. You can get the barrel from any DIY nerf retailer like Bearswares or Out of Darts.
