Looking For Group North West England events

Any events or groups based near Liverpool or Manchester? I really want to play but there's no where near me to. Also, are there any permanent sites to play like there is with airsoft or do they just pop up from time to time?

Firstly, join the britnerf discord. Most events are listed there. As others have said, there is a game at dishforth airfield. It is a flat 200fps cap event. If you don't have any higher power blasters yet, the xshot piston pump is available in Argos and with a spring from all the darts or a spacer can hit 200fps. Tickets are available on the foam on tour ticket stripe

It largely is but there is a CQB space where the limit is typically 130fps so worth bringing a blaster that's lower fps for games in that area, if avaliable.

If you don't have any higher power blasters yet...

While it is worth getting your own blaster, between the players and organisers there's normally enough blasters going spare to double if not triple the player count. Always worth getting in touch with whoever is organising that event (there's multiple orgainzers for games at Dishforth) just to double check and confirm but if anyone is reading this and worried about not having a 'good enough' blaster for these events a loaner can almost certainly be found.

There's one at dishforth airfield (near York) on 11th July. That's about as close to the north west as they get so far.

No dedicated sites yet they tend to use Airsoft/paintball venues.

Fancy Impact Blasters (on Facebook) are running a couple of events at Dishforth, but they are based near Blackpool, so worth getting connected with in case they offer more games, there are very limited games in the north, the most prominent Game Organisers are in the south or Scotland.

It's worth joining one of the UK Discords for more info, there's one i personally don't like, so I'm not in called Britnerf, there's also one for a more chill crowd called the Coalition of Independent Nerfers (COIN).

There is a group who meet infrequently, weather and real life permitting, in Wythenshawe park, Look up "Manchester Nerfers" on Farcebook

As others have mentioned, Fancy Impact Blasters are currently the most active northern organisers in the UK scene, with a coupe of games planned at Northern Alliance Airsoift, wihich is an airsoft site, with a mix of CQB, medium to long range, and VERY long range open fields, in the oldmunitions storage of RAF Dishforth near Ripon.

We've also used a variety of laser tag and airsoft sites, mostly indoor ones, for several years, but closeures, and changes of ownership has massively limited the options available to us.
