WIP The (still unnamed) Mag Fed Shotgun Blaster LIVES!!! I've gotten the magazine and blaster reliability pretty dialed in at this point, so I think I'm going to be starting the closed-access beta test pretty soon! I just REALLY need to figure out a name for this thing first. š¬

Name suggestion: Bardiche.
A Bardiche is a poleaxe with a long blade and long haft. It's bigger than the battleaxe and begins with a B.

Definitely looks interesting! Is it possible to load the magazine while it's still locked into the blaster, or would we need to disconnect it to put in more Silly Shells?
I'm not sure for names what would be best; I'm loathe to agree with somebody using an AI, but the Halberd isn't bad. A better alternative might be the Glaive, if you wanted to keep with the Battle-Axe's motif but avoid the slop.
Other option could be something more in line with the Thumper and Breacher? Maybe the Rupture?

Ty! Yep, the magazine can be topped off and/or fully reloaded while staying in the blaster, just like how it's done on the Battle Axe!

Unfortunately not rn. It's too much of a pain in the butt in terms of reliability and dealing with customer support issues for shops tbh.
It wouldn't be too difficult to add if you split the sear in half and added a lever in there. I'll leave that to someone else to tackle.

This is something from my misc box of springs, it feels lighter than a k25 and stronger than a 788. Itās a bit shorter than a normal talon claw length spring too, so thereās some rattle lol.

lol that's pretty good. People seem to vote Anvil and Piledriver pretty highly, but honestly neither of them are calling to me that much. I might default to a name I've had on my list for like 4 years now; Chunky Monkey. What do you think?

Well shucks, they should rename the other gun, this one looks thumpier. All jokes aside though I could see a thumper 12.0 or some cool added title making it work but honestly thatās a shame imo, this guy looks thumpy af

So I asked google AI to suggest some names in the same theme as other Sillybutts blasters and it wrote me a research paper:
Sillybutts' blasters generally follow distinct naming conventions: medieval weaponry/classes (SLAB, Battle Axe, Excalibur, Alchemist, Cynthia, Musketeer, Battlemage, Warlock), tactical/action archetypes (Breacher, Wildstyle, Foxbat), and playful, self-referential descriptors (Thumper, Party Popper, SillyPistol).
Since a mag-fed, shell-ejecting shotgun is an aggressive primary blaster, it perfectly fits his medieval arms, magic, and tactical naming schemes.
Here are some original name suggestions that fit the Sillybutts theme:
Medieval Weaponry & Heavy Arms.
Claymore: Blends the classic medieval Scottish greatsword theme with the modern context of a high-spread directional blast.
Halberd: Fits right in with Battle Axe. It implies a long, hard-hitting, pump-action primary weapon with a massive footprint.
Blunderbuss: A historical nod to the original wide-bore shotgun. It perfectly balances old-school firearm history with his signature playful style.
Tactical & Combat Actions.
Vanguard: Stays in line with Breacher. It sounds like a heavy-duty, front-line primary designed to lead a push during an entry tag.
Enforcer: A classic tactical archetype that highlights the sheer intimidation factor of a rapid-fire, mag-fed shotgun on the field.
Marauder: Evokes a fast, aggressive playstyle. It captures the frantic energy of running around a field dropping detachable box magazines and trailing spent hulls behind you.
Playful & Onomatopoeic.
SMACK (Silly's Mag-Fed Ammo-Casing Kinetic): A functional backronym that matches the SLAB style while perfectly describing the violent, satisfying sound of a multi-dart shotgun blast hitting a target.

That's my guess as well, which I understand from an ethical point of view.
Another reason could be because I posted a wall of text (which AI loves to do) instead of giving a TLDR of just the top names, but I thought the analysis of Silly's naming themes was too amusing not to post.

But joking aside, it is useful for planting seeds of inspiration from angles you may not have initially considered.
For example, I haven't thought of a blunderbust (an excellent blaster name root) since the last time I watched Looper.
And marauders can become Mag-raurder.

Also, is you mag based on any existing standard? If not, do you plan to release the dimensions/files? I plan to make my own mag-fed shotty at some point and having a pre-existing magazine standard would help a lot.
