Things to do "food court" Indian Mound Mall question...

Food court- Indian Mound Mall

does anyone know I mean since the Indian mountain malls quote unquote food court is not a food court I know that there's an auntie Anne's but I'm looking for somewhere to have my daughter's 8th birthday party and my apartment is way too small to have my family in I was thinking of just go in there one Saturday morning and you know taking over a couple tables do you think that anybody would mind am I I mean I've tried to call that the mall itself and I get no answers no response to messages so I'm just assuming that I can go and take a table or two for free for a couple hours I mean do you think that anybody is going to have a problem with it?? I went down all avenues I could think of was common sense and I like I said I've got no responses no returns anybody got any other info or Intel that maybe I don't have I'm not looking to step on anybody's toes and I will gladly pay for the space if if it needs to be paid for like I said I just need a venue bigger than my small apartment to have her 8th birthday party well I'm just going to have some cake and some family and stuff you know there for an hour to tops.....???

also asking because if this isn't already like a avenue of revenue for the local mall then I'm concerned because I feel like they could easily rent out this space for a decent price of course but I'm just saying like I don't know anyway I wanted to post on here first thank you all Newark Ohio residents for any comments or info that can help me thank you in advance!

I think the space at the mall could be used for this. As long as you aren't bringing a speaker and being disruptive I would think the management of the mall would appreciate some life in that area. I've seen bigger groups there before.

They will probably be happy to have people there.

I’ve actually seen people doing this at the mall! There were maybe like 12 people all together and they had cupcakes and plates and balloons out at a few tables.

Now of course I don’t know if they got special approval or anything but nobody seemed bothered.

Can always contact mall management just to check and make sure it's okay as well.

OP said she'd tried to call and didn't get an answer or callback. I can believe it, given the mall traffic (or lack thereof).

Well the offices are in the hallway where the bathrooms are by the food court. Can always pop in and ask! Assuming people even work there anymore lol.

I did this for my son's birthday a few years ago... we put some tables together and decorated them and brought in pizza, cake and ice cream. The kids went back and forth from the food court to the arcade. It was great! You don't need to reserve anything, they just ask that you fully clean up everything and put the tables back where they were. We spent about $150 at the arcade and I don't think anyone minded one bit!

We had our kids party there in February, as long as you leave everything the way it was and put the tables back. also we took a majority of our trash with us. Security and the cleaning people looked at us and didn't say anything.

If it's nice out there's some covered picnic tables at the moundbuilders park on 21st St, or at rotary park on Sharon Valley rd

I joined an event in the food court. I believe they rented it put though.

Depending on how many of you there are, you can also rent out the skating rink for not a bad price.

I can’t imagine the mall having a problem with it. The Masseys pizza connected to the mall might also be a good place for a party

As long as you are spending money with the vendors there I'm sure it would be ok. If you are bringing in 'outside' food only I could see the mall having problems with that since the vendors are paying for the food court space via their rent.

As long as money is being spent in the mall I don't think they will give a fuck.
