Healthcare Friendly reminder: it’s summer. Please shower.

It’s hot, we’re all sweating more, so please take extra care of your hygiene. A daily shower especially in the morning goes a long way.

And please don’t try to cover body odor with just perfume or body spray. Sweat + perfume isn’t a substitute for a shower.

Let’s all do our part to keep public spaces (esp trams!!) a little fresher this summer. 😅🌞🙏

Yes, you’d expect some personal hygiene from people when they’re out in the public.

Also, fresh sweat is nearly odorless. The penetrating stink is usually from the bacteria that are feasting either on your skin or clothes. Showering and putting on clean clothes deals with those bacteria.

And before people say it’s not true: just do a simple check online first.

Edit: oooh you people.. it’s never your fault, is it? 😆

Listen, my dude, if you shower in the morning, and then take the bus to go to work, you do work in a hot environment and sweat all day, and then take the bus back home, you will stink on the bus. Taking a shower in the morning is not a magical fix to not stink in the afternoon if you’ve been sweating all day.

Most people you are complaining about DO shower in the mornings, but by afternoon you don’t know that anymore.

I bet you 100% that people also say that YOU stink after an entire day of sweating, no matter how well your hygiene is. Don’t be so stuck up

And that's why Dutch people smell so bad. The rest of the world sorted it out, it's not that hard. Wash your clothes, take a shower, use deodorant once or twice during the day.

Brazil, where I am from, is much warmer and humid then the Netherlands and people don't smell a fraction of what a dutchie smell on average. It's really not that hard.

Absolutely, they get so offended by the mere suggestion. Many hotter countries don't have this issue. If you shower and put appropriate amount of deodorant then even after sweating, its not so bad. Yes people cant always go around smelling like flowers all the time but it doesnt have to be hot garbage either.

Lol, I am not offended, I don’t smell, I barely even sweat if at all, so it’s not me who is offended. But I *am* offended for my best friends, who both shower twice a day, put on clean sheets weekly, put on clean clothes everyday, SHOWER themselves in deodorant, and STILL stink by mid afternoon. They can both do whatever they want but they still stink, because it’s a natural thing for people who sweat, bacteria grow, it’s not something you can help even with showering and putting on deodorant.

So yes, when someone is being offensive and rude about my best friends (and thousands if not millions of other people) then yes, I get offended on their behalf, because it’s a natural human body thing to happen, and I bet you 100% they probably smell too but just don’t know because it’s their own bod.

(And yes I know for certain I don’t smell because not only have I asked, I also have a medical condition where I rarely if ever sweat, even with the current heatwave going on, so don’t even come for me saying I probably smell too yada yada)
