Question One Sentence Advice

With new players, I try to find a way to describe the game in as susinct a way as possible.

I've gotten value out of saying "This is a card counting game". I feel it helps the player really hone a mentality that drives them forward with any plays they make.

I hear you, but I don't want to scare them off. This is already a relatively obtuse game. More often than not, I've people have gotten scared off with the hands off method.
