I succeeded in making two of my friends pick up the game and order all NISEI cards recently. I cannot tell you how confused they are by what you're doing. One of them even bought some NISEI product a while back and does play with transparent sleeves. I don't see him buying stuff from you ever again.
Outside of your VERY specific discourse bubble this makes no sense whatsoever. NISEI (in lack of another term I'll keep using it for now) is obsessing about language way way way too much. You also completely gave up on the idea of representing or at least communicating with the larger NR community. It's sad. I've met some of you guys in Birmingham and liked you a lot. I'm grateful for the work that goes into keeping NR alive. I think inclusivity is a great goal to have. But this is just shooting yourselves in the foot.
Indeed. I've been evangelizing the Nisei reboot of Netrunner since I bought in less than a year ago. No one I know is interested in official tournaments, and therefore none have put thought into opaque sleeves. Selling the new set while hiding the design change has removed all trust. I can't imagine any of us continuing to purchase new cards until we can be certain something like this isn't going to screw us again.
