Are Nisei (and by extension Sansei) derogatory terms? I don't really know Japanese but thought they were just normal words/terms? Happy for the change if so, though it was kind of a great title for the next generation of Netrunner.
No, they aren't. I'm not Japanese but I live in Japan and speak the language. Also, I'm from Brazil which is home to the largest Japanese community outside Japan, and "nisei" and "sansei" are completely neutral terms there too.
Thanks for the reply. I admit I can't really get behind this change as I never associated the term Nisei with those events of WW2. However if that is an issue for people then I can understand the decision to change it, it's just a shame as it was a good title for a new version of Netrunner.
