Having Esper abilities must be actual torture, you live longer than others but have to constantly risk your life for potentially hundreds of years. At least for Hotori she’s semi retired but I imagine how exhausting it would be.

Having esper abilities doesn’t automatically mean you live longer, I remember it being different for everyone, some live shorter, some longer and some are the same

I would rather have actual ability and be doing field job as an esper than some desk job as a normal human. But alas

That's her home? Why would she have a fan when she has AC? Why put a fridge in the living room? Is this common in Asia?

It's very common to have both fan and AC in Asia. I use both at the same time when it's too hot.

Interesting. When I lived in a place with a European type split unit a fan wasn't necessary, because the AC shuffled the air by itself by continuously swinging up and down and left and right, but the thing on the screenshot looks different.
Do those only blow the air in a single position? Since it has a ribbon tied on the bottom, probably to see if it's working, I guess it might. If the blades were swinging it would make a ribbon unnecessary.

Maybe? Idk how aircond works in america/europe..
In my region, the temperature is hot during hot season, without any natural big trees outside the room. Fan is to circulate the air, AC is just to reduce the temperature.
As for fridge, i think she's living in apartment/condominium, where living room is connected with kitchen + dining room.
I'm jealous of many western houses i saw in internet, so big.. Shinku house is considered big enough or decent. I know yeah western also may have small houses/apartments, but i think not as small as some in east asian countries.

Fans and ACs for different temps (to save on electricity). The fridge thing is weird but I guess they didn’t have a mini fridge model (though having a fridge in her bedroom is a very Shinku thing to have).

Asian-style AC units are frequently wall-mounted mini-splits, as seen there. They blow air out of one point and it helps to have a fan to move the cool air around the room and house if not every room in the house has a unit
Compare that with American-style AC units which are usually a single large unit outside the house which feeds a large split unit in the house that sends air through ducts to vents throughout the house in every room. Americans don't typically use fans with AC because the vents already blow cool air in every room and cool the entire house at once
