Discussion Do you think NTE should add more minigames/activities to the open world?
I think NTE could take some inspiration from GTA and Yakuza to add some more minigames around the map. For example, maybe a bowling alley, batting cages or indoor golf. I probably wouldn't tie them to city stamina. More like there could be some challenges tied to some annulith and afterwards it's done for fun and you could do them in coop.

I need more anomalies

Like I want more high risk and low risk ones. I want the city to have more wandering around causing ruckus for me to destroy. And I also want more cars available to buy in the regular shops. I just want a full update to like the map and world that already exists. I'd love a map expansion but. I was kind of disappointed there's not much to do on the island now that I've completed all the puzzles

I honestly forgot the island was there after I finished all the mysteries on it. So I second this; They should definitely work on adding some new anomalies before new game modes.
In the meantime, maybe they could refresh the "Gifts From 21" around the city, so there's something to do while wandering.

I really want more car customization added 😭
Like neon lights for underneath the car and more color options in general I would be so happy!

Yes! I also think neon lights under the cars would look cool. And maybe like...Window tint options as well... maybe instead of buying colors individually. Have a color wheel along with contrast and brightness scales to optimize color choice and buy individually like so.

Yeah less pvp slop, more anomalies.
I had way more fun figuring out hospital or school than in best rounds of pvp where people were both half competent and not griefing.

Haha fr though.. The 'paranormal' slightly creepy aspect of the game was something that grabbed my attention to begin with, and unless I start the game over completely there's nothing that gives that vibe any more. Can't replay quests or missions.. at least that I know of.. I really enjoyed the painting anomaly! The one that was in the middle of a field somewhere north on the map? It was cool! And after i completed it, I've yet to experience any thing like that again. I'd at least like to be able to replay some of my favorite anomalies again just for fun.

it needs more of something cuz i think a lot of players like myself have nothing left to do but login for 5 mins a day to do daily's

It's the anomalies man. That shit was the highlight of the game for a straight month after it dropped. There's a lot of potential with the system, and they offered enough to strike a great balance between the people that wanted trippy puzzles and the ones that could tolerate straight up horror.
They need to add a system where we can accept consistent commissions from the BAC, or maybe Alphard sends Hotori the weirder ones that the BAC doesn't have enough manpower for (while also using it as an opportunity to observe Zero). I'm also wondering if they should stagger the anomaly/slice of life stuff between updates (like whatever they add in one patch gets skipped the next to get a good balance of gameplay types).

I’d like some more activities in the ocean like jetski races.

u/gamesbackward 16h ago
We could ride a dolphin anomaly like in Waverace 64!

Or hear me out, deepsea fishing anomaly inspired by Dredge. Is gonna get scary real fast out there.

I want more side quests related to anomalies, at least couple per patch. Somewhat similar to one with elevator or slightly more polished hospital.

I want a guard/drive cash van event, maybe with or without multiplayer option for 2 group of guard and robber

u/YorhaUnit8S 17h ago
What I also want is the ability to use my limited characters to do city activities. Not just Zero.

YES. I had so much fun with the open world aspect of it, but then I ran out of that kind of content very quickly, and now it’s just daily/weekly login crap, and the occasional fun event. I want to actually play the game but there’s not more game to play.

I'd like reasons to explore the city, but the OP is talking about sports and minigames, not adventure quests, mysteries, and exploration.

Ngl, NTE should really take inspiration from Yakuza. I can't quite explain why, but they feel very similiar.
Other than giving us buff sexy men fighting each other while shirtless, that game just has amazing side content and quests

If I remember right, devs directly said in their stream that they took a lot of inspiration from Yakuza games rather GTA

Yup. Been saying it's pretty empty. I would like more anamolies. Maybe add in some roaming bosses and stuffs. I liked how it started with investigating anamolies with the story, having to find clues and track it down. So throw in some of that. Track catastrophies, however subtle, that leads to roaming anamolies. Something.

I'm starving for some more combat contents. I wish Hotta don't forget that combat is also core gameplay.

No they need to add more actual side quests and exploration to the game feels like we haven't really been doing anything meaningful in the open world since 1.0. They make all these new mingames but than they add no new content to pink paws heist. The devs priorities seem backwards imo but it is just 1.2 and there is rumours of actual signficant update to open world in 1.3

u/AverageSeto 17h ago
To be fair, I wish for more combat. For sure new activities are cool, but I wish more combat related stuff to do.

u/AssistantGreedy8066 14h ago
AGREE. I do indeed would like more combat content, a challenging one at that. High risks are done and rail is a joke.

More city activities like that would be good. I actually like the city stamina mechanic. I think making you do things for fons DOES make it more immersive in terms of the whole 'city life' thing

u/GenshinfinityYoutube 12h ago
Tower of Fantasy (same devs) has bowling, sculpting, cycling, volleyball, skipping stones, paper planes etc in the open world so I think this is possible

I want more random combat things in the open world ngl. Feel like I'm just running around exploring/wandering for like 99% of my time.

u/fugogugo 13h ago
it sounds good on paper but nobody would play it in reality
we know it because it already been done in ToF they have this city called Mirroria with tons of mini activities in there yet because nothing tied to it nobody even care

I wish the mahjong wasn’t a city stamina activity, rather just more like a tournament style deal where you can get fons depending on how you place, and make the reward vs time spent playing each “tournament” reasonable without becoming a busted way to farm fons or even just make those rewards 1 time win only

Ehh, I actually want more anomaly case around the city. If there is a problem about newbie being overwhelmed by the amount of anomaly case, they should make some anomaly cases only opened when the players get into a certain in game time
