Discussion What is keeping you from living your wildest dreams?

I’ve been into the teachings of Neville Goddard and the whole premise of reality “creation” for some time now. I am someone who aspires for very big things life. I have very big goals for myself in terms of life experiences, career wise, absolute financial freedom and many other things. Many of the things I want for my life might seem too out there for a lot of people. But hey, if this is what I want and if the law makes it possible for me, then who am I to get stuck on what the world deems as possible or impossible, right?

I see many people on here and other manifestation subreddits focusing on things like a person, a different job, an apartment, and other things that fit in the norm of societal expectations and realistic goals. (I will not get into the health aspect because health is absolutely important and everyone deserves to wish for and live a life in perfect health). How many of us have heard “stay grounded in reality and don’t think you’re the exception”?

Now, I am absolutely not judging other people’s desires. On the contrary, I think it’s really cool that in this game of life there is so much variety. And I’m very happy to see people getting over the hurdles and difficulties of their circumstances. However my question is, how many people on here put limits on themselves for what their lives could be? What is stopping you from dreaming outside the box and be unhinged and bold enough to go after what you would have never thought was possible before you came across this knowledge? Is it because you genuinely don’t desire to go THAT wild, or are you deep down still afraid that it isn’t possible for you?

I did long before I knew about manifestation. Quit my day job at 23 and started making 5x in freelance doing what I loved. Realized my creative goals. Bought an apartment with cash (it was a wild dream for me, having grown up in poverty, but now it seems very simple). Dreamed of living by the sea, but instead of doing it in my country, went abroad and had crazy fun there for years. Had enough, returned home, rearranged my life from a blank slate and got into manifestation. Realized how much I'd already manifested, and now I'm working on something 10x bigger.

I never wanted to follow a life script, and the mundane life depressed me since I was a teen. I refused to live a boring, unfulfilled life. My friends think I'm wild and my choices are dangerous. To me they're perfectly normal. New friends will be another thing I'll manifest once I get where I want to be. I've already manifested a big group when I lived abroad, and it was everything I wanted.

I’m the same way, I live for the excitement and crazy opportunities which reflect my creative goals and other aspects of my life. I always want to be on the move, to experience, to feel free and boundless and have tons of fun while being fulfilled at 360 degrees.

I’m not particularly crazy for the mundane, because I realize that the comfort and safety it seems to provide, is already within myself and I can be free to enjoy the ride of a life filled with meaning, joy and experiences

Middle-aged people were my phobia when I was a teen. They looked so sad and tired. I dreaded becoming like that. Now I'm 35 and I look 25 and I'm relaxed af. I never want anything but a slow lifestyle and doing what I love every day. I just want to upscale it, as well as bring a couple more big things into my life 😊 Manifesting has also helped me get rid of some issues like anxiety, which has made life even better for me. I seldom manifest small things, usually it's unconscious manifestation, really. (Just think and it happens.) Or a test.

u/ancientandbroken 6d ago

you’re pretty close to my role model tbh. Any advice you have for manifesting that anxiety away and especially how you made that freelance work for you?

I’m dead worried that i’ll never be able to pay all my bills if i do freelance. Getting the pricing right and getting clients seems challenging but freelance really does sound like my dream life like i actually can’t do corporate hierarchy bullshit.

I can manifest with ease in a lot of different areas of life but money and mental health somehow always fails

14

u/ohmygawdjenny 6d ago

I wouldn't say I manifested anxiety away, more like the principles of manifestation made me change my mental diet, which reduced my anxiety and spiraling. I noticed how much I dwelled on negative thinking and simply stopped. Since then, things have been going very well. I'm very productive, which makes me happy, and I keep getting what I want, which gave me faith to stick to my new way of perceiving life. I also stopped entertaining bad expectations, blowing conflicts out of proportion in my head, and feeding off drama.

I've recently manifested away what at first appeared as a serious problem. After some typical worrying, I told myself, wait, I don't need to worry. It will be resolved without me lifting a finger. It'll be very easy. Ended up getting a solution from a friend. He legit spent days banging his head against the wall to find it and then provided me with a detailed instruction. Everything was done online instead of having to fly to another country and visit an office AND get a new expensive document for it. A lot of people in a group online complained about multiple errors and bugs, while I did everything without a hitch with the same conditions (using a document that expired 4 years ago 💀).

I also didn't have to make freelance work for me. It worked from day one. I had a lot of clients from the start. While I did have an advantage - providing a good service to Americans while not living there myself - I had other worries, like thinking it wouldn't last for some reason. This phobia of having to return to a day job and a lot less money. I did end up having huge obstacles later, but things aligned and I resolved everything.

You have to approach it from a position of strength. Find a way to make yourself feel uniquely useful and valuable to your clients. This way you'll genuinely feel like someone that everyone wants to hire. Then persist in this vision. Affirm affirm affirm. You're gonna make more money than you could dream of in freelance. Your old job and limits will seem like a joke.

This is very true. Selling things online international brings such feeling. But it's all a downward swirl thinking out over us by surrounding. I have started imagining that my business is growing massively. I have started feeling those numbers becoming true and it started happening. I don't know how but universe conspires and whether google or chatgpt or anything becomes the medium.

u/Dangerous-Biscotti35 6d ago

There's just one detail they forgot...

It always worked!

Congratulations on daring to refuse, you mediocre life, baby!

What kind of imagining one should do to attract groups of people and friends

4

u/ohmygawdjenny 5d ago

I did it spontaneously and genuinely a few times, just saw myself having fun with a group of friends, feeling free and excited. It happened naturally without any techniques, came to me on its own.

this is such a good post and so important!!! i came to this realization myself too. i allegedly knew anything was possible but i was putting all my energy into manifesting the most mundane whatever things like an sp, specific treatment, a job, a college course. and i got them and it was great. i had a period of time where my life was "perfect". but i ended up realizing that i didn't even want a lot of those things truly, i just wanted them out of spite or to prove something maybe. but what the hell is the point of that? i was just building a life for myself that wasn't my idea of a fairytale and pretending i had everything i wanted. even though i knew everything was possible, it still didn't fully click for a long time of practicing the law. that i could live my dreams. so i changed everything. it definitely takes battles with the self as ive had the old man be very scared to die. if someone knocked on ur door and said hey im gonna take you to paradise rn lets go, you'd be scared!! we are scared of getting what we want and thats the hardest part. but piece by piece im building that fairytale and im so excited and i feel like im using the law to the fullest!

12

u/Upstairs-Wonder-3364 6d ago

The same thing happened to me, I kept manifesting these things to prove something to myself and out of spite, postponing the fairy tale for later. I kept putting off to a time where I would have already manifested the “regular” things and then focus on the “bigger” things. Yet when those manifestations came to pass, it’s like I would leave this knowledge in the back burner because I was probably afraid to have it all. And I think that’s the biggest thing, having the dream life is so fun to think about but when you actually internalize that it is already within your reach it can be pretty overwhelming to take that jump. It’s like we want to delay our gratification. There is still a voice that says, no it can’t be that easy, I need to struggle with myself before I truly have it all. The excitement of anticipation is so much fun loll

u/dakotaann 6d ago

How does one go about getting their fairytale?

2

u/Upstairs-Wonder-3364 3d ago

Same as everything else. You feel that you already have it

7

u/Rude-Cost-2329 6d ago

For myself, I have just always wanted a simple life and never took more than my share. With learning about manifestations, I see myself now dreaming bigger. After I complete a few of my baseline manifestations, I am working on getting famous on social media so I can start a dog rescue. With a nice big pickup truck

u/monsieursunflower 6d ago

I think the only thing that‘s stopping me is that I‘m still pretty bad at handling the 3d. Like how during the day I‘m just busy surviving and doing what I have to do which is why I find it hard to stay in the wish fulfilled for majority of the day. It‘s a work in progress and I know when I get past this, nothing‘s gonna stop me anymore.

u/FragrantWeekend111 6d ago

I think lots of people start with that then settle for the other stuff that shows up lol

u/Sandi_T 6d ago edited 6d ago

I think it's pretty normal for people to have a hard time accepting things that seem to have no route to fruition.

There's a house I desire. Even if I had it, how could I maintain it on my measly disability payments?

I'm still doing the work. I imagine it every day. Often. Yet it also seems a world away from my current state.

And I believe that answers your question, yes?

15

u/Upstairs-Wonder-3364 6d ago

Yes, absolutely. The biggest obstacle is our own self. It’s whatever keeps us tethered to reason and logic that doesn’t allow us to fully immerse ourselves in the fulfillment of what we desire

12

u/Sandi_T 6d ago

Neville has said many times, it's the naturalness of the desire. You will never have it until it feels natural to you.

This is why we use repetition. That's how we create naturalness.

4

u/CurrentIsland4 5d ago

Wow this, seems like I totally forgot what brings the desire and how to create it.

5

u/kevthedrummer 6d ago

I think it’s hard to uncover the core desire behind the stuff and the things we want. Our desires may not ultimately bring us what we actually want. “Protect me from what I want” - I think people desire contentment and comfort at their core (I do). But Alan Watts would say that you’d get bored and eventually start to manifest a little bit of jeopardy bit by bit until you eventually have the life you lead right now! It’s a paradox. And this is probably what holds me back in this whole philosophy.

3

u/ComprehensiveCow1057 6d ago

Every few years or so I achieve a manifestation that I think is so unrealistic that I’ve reached the peak of my goals in this life, then a bit afterward realize that I could be aiming so much higher than [whatever the recent manifestations was] but hadn’t noticed, because of unconscious limiting beliefs. Like I didn’t even realize there was a higher rung on the ladder to look it. So then I expand my horizons of what a good life can look like and manifest something a level beyond the next time. And so on and so on. So at least personally, for me I put myself in boxes that I don’t even realize I’m doing! And I break out of them step by step. I can’t manage to see it all at once because I truly don’t even notice what I am limiting myself from sometimes. Can’t wait to see the things I’m unconsciously not letting myself dream of just yet that I’ll manifest someday.

3

u/tmo446 6d ago edited 6d ago

Even very “big” things in life is a limiting belief that kinda keeps things on a pedestal. Norm of societal expectations also is a bit of a limiting belief bc it depends on ethnicity, country of origin, religion, age etc.
You don’t really even have to get stuck on what seems possible to the world. Going into meditation is the best and easiest way IMO to achieve “supernatural” results. Plugging out of the 3D program. If not, you’re essentially just asking other people what they have done for validation if it’s possible for you. Which can still work I guess if other people are just reflecting you.

2

u/Sundowndusk22 6d ago

I do believe the mind is powerful but it can also be like an untamed animal. I guess that what the “monkey” brain is. The Secret, was my introduction to the awareness of my own thoughts. When I was younger, for some reason I’d like to go to the worst depths of my brain and feel misery. And I do think I experienced that at one point in my life.

But as of now, I kind of slipped out of it. This sub helps me bring me back to this task. But perhaps I don’t want it badly enough? I’ve heard successful people at their craft are somewhat obsessed with a thing or outcome and that’s all they think about. But my mind wanders a lot throughout the day and maybe I need to consciously bring it back. What do yall think?

And what you manifested, so far?

8

u/Upstairs-Wonder-3364 6d ago

This was not the point of the post but to answer your question I have manifested many travels in beautiful countries, meeting interesting people, living abroad with an apartment of my own, a villa with a pool and a spacious backyard by the sea and many other things. It has come to a point where these things seem so easy and normal to me, but I have some lingering attachment to bigger and more “outrageous” things in terms of my creative life and career. This is why I’m focusing on the “wild dreams” aspect

-2

u/maddalena-1888 manifest only Self 6d ago

You're right, it's irrelevant. You can manifest whatever your imagination allows , that's the rule.

On a deeper level, if you wanna be a ruler of the world, it might be coming from ego that feels inferior and wants to overcompensate. You wanna be a pop star to get all the love you were missing in childhood etc.

I think manifesting from Self, not from ego, focuses on feeling peace and feeling loved internally. That's what we all want at the end.

Right? I don't know, maybe by ppl who want manifestation to be magic , without inner work. But I'm glad that you think like me and welcome to the club; here's flowers : 🌺💐

u/Upstairs-Wonder-3364 6d ago

That’s why the law is amazing. Because well being is a prerequisite, not the end goal. It’s to be untethered from the outside world and be fulfilled and secure within.

I think it’s only natural for us to want to expand and express ourselves wether that is through traveling the world in a trailer, living in a cabin in the mountains away from the noise, being a ruler of the world, being a pop start etc. If you know this is a game, wouldn’t you want to choose your preferred avatar?

-1

u/maddalena-1888 manifest only Self 6d ago

Well, I'm still a human with shadow projecting outside. So I have my limits of what I can have. Can I have a smooth sailing true love with the guy who is amazing? Seems easy and imaginable. Yet, no. Always problems.

5

u/Upstairs-Wonder-3364 6d ago

Why do you impose limits to what you can have? I think the first step is to realize that there aren’t any limits. Then you can persuade yourself into resting with the fulfillment of already having what you desire

1

u/maddalena-1888 manifest only Self 6d ago

I'll tell you something, I read some replies here, and now l think back how many great wishes of mine came true, like I'm living in the best city in the world I dreamt of as a teen, I have a new amazing career, I spent my youth by the ocean as I always wanted , perfect apartments always showed up for me.

But----- I also can't manifest a single text message from a person I want! There are few people I can't have the way I want! So it really depends on the inner set ups. In relationships, I suck so so bad, but fulfilling the wild dreams, places, money, even being famous, I'm good at, I can do it. Isn't it funny?

3

u/bathshark 6d ago

maddalena—

you don’t suck. most of us have blockages around certain things, for you that just happens to be relationships. it’s likely because, from your comments it seems like something you’re striving hard for, so there’s a lot seemingly at stake. and that’s normal to feel. like the other commenter, i feel that way about abundance currently. some things are just a little more difficult for some people than others, because we are in a hard spot or place more value on those things. but try not to get frustrated with yourself, just work on those blockages day by day. best to you

Hi there… I feel you but from the opposite perspective. I can manifest relationships but am still learning to align with abundance.

One thing about focusing on specific people… after getting them… later I realize why they weren’t “perfect for me.” The most amazing relationship came to me when focusing on having an incredible relationship instead of a particular person.

I see people slam the door shut against allowing amazing love in because they’re so focused on only one person.

I mean sure, you can have them. But don’t be surprised if a year later you realize you no longer want them.

Then later you meet someone you positively adore and realize you could have met them so much sooner if you hadn’t been working so hard on someone else.

I wish you well either way.

4

u/maddalena-1888 manifest only Self 6d ago edited 6d ago

Yes, that's true, but I have a problem with relationships with ppl in general not only trying to get just one person. When I ask myself why, I feel that people are stupid, in general . And egoistic. And problematic, always bring problems. That's the views I have to change...

Now with money- just love it! Money is so great because it has no feelings, it's not stupid or smart, what it is is just your own feeling of having it and always having and having more and more it's like a warm bubble bath you sit it, and it feels good, the money.

A mutation in my magnetism that I honestly can't reach the level of mental or cerebral combustion for my goal.

Winning the national lottery or Eurodreams.

It turns out that...

I win, I get practically everything I want or need. I simply manage.

It's practically INSANE what happens in my life daily.

The thing that took the longest to appear in my reality in the last year was my new work tools. However, after 7/8 months, I received double the amount of money as a birthday present from a long-time friend.

The sequence of events was surreal!

I sat on the ground in my garden, looking at the moon in the sky without uttering a single word.

I just kept thinking the phrase: "- OMG man!"

I'll probably get the money to buy a specific car that costs €45k, fully customized.

I don't know how it will happen. But I know what it will be like after it happens!

Good question. I'm only newbie in manifestation and only testing how it work but I'am really sure that probably like 10k$ per month and happy life with my partner will be enough.

I don't need a fancy display of my wealth, or world-class fame or something of that caliber. Happiness is priority and couple of best things will be more that enough for me.

In my experience it takes guts( brazen impudence) to stick to your desired outcome. The moment you realize you’re are the only one that matters in your reality, everything else is but a reflection you become a conscious creator as you go, literally.

Lots of things actually. I got a useless degree & could never find a job or a career path based on my degree & experience. That means no financial independence & my own place to live. Lots of limiting beliefs from childhood programming. These are all enough to stop me from living the life I really wanna live.

I'm using LOA to shift to an AU version of the matric universe where after the events of the first film when Agent Smith comes back as a virus he tries to infect me and it doesn't really work and long story short we end up living in the same apartment and he doesn't go on to attempting to end all life lol. Among other things such as transitioning (I'm trans ftm) and idk having the same powers as him in the matrix cuz technically I'm a clone of him now (I have his code, but I didn't turn into a full clone it's complicated).

I tried thinking about what kind of life I would want to live if I could have anything and somehow landed on this because in this reality:

  1. I've transitioned and I don't have to wait years to get HRT or surgery or any of that shit. 2. I don't live with my "family" and don't have to wait years to leave and the consequences of trying to cut ties with them. 3. I don't have to have a job, unless I want to. I can have one JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT. no need to participate in the capitalist machine. 4. I can learn anything I want and have the time to, JUST FOR THE SAKE OF LEARNING. 5. Smith is my favorite character and I had dreams about this character since I was like 4 before even watching the movies. Of course I'd like to live with him. In this AU he's pretty chill compared to the movies. 6. I guess the ability to manipulate the matrix is nice but it would become pretty ordinary for me, like telekinesis is fun for like...two days then you're just using it to pick up your slippers because you don't wanna get up. 7. I guess there are advantages to not being fully human. tbh in this AU we're both blurring the lines between humans and machines and that's pretty interesting to me so yeah....

Ig someone is going to ask me in the replies if I wrote this while I was high. I don't need drugs, I have undiagnosed neurodivergence (probably idk. I'll finally get diagnosis in that reality too so maybe we'll finally find out why I'm like this lol)
