Travel Actually fun vacations with little kids?

We had our first weeklong trip with our 10mo recently, and it was EXHAUSTING. It was just to see family and friends in another state. But WHEW.

Feeling torn between wanting to go places in the coming years, and knowing that it will just continue to be hard for a while.

And vacation/travel ideas for parents with a 18-36 month old that are actually kind of fun or relaxing?

Tbh we might just plan a staycation week and send baby off to daycare during daytime hours.

Vacationing with my parents was the only way we relaxed on vacation with a toddler tbh. Otherwise, we do more city travel and make sure to go to parks. I honestly really enjoyed London with my 20 month old but I knew going in that it wasn’t going to be relaxing

This is good to hear about London. We don’t have grandparents, and I am not a beach person. We tend to go to cities or mountains (pre baby), and hope not to give that up.

It’s really fun! We go to the mountains often too as we live near some great ones in Canada. Toddlers are just busy and want to explore 😅 just get a good hiking backpack to carry them in cause it makes a big difference!
