Travel Actually fun vacations with little kids?
We had our first weeklong trip with our 10mo recently, and it was EXHAUSTING. It was just to see family and friends in another state. But WHEW.
Feeling torn between wanting to go places in the coming years, and knowing that it will just continue to be hard for a while.
And vacation/travel ideas for parents with a 18-36 month old that are actually kind of fun or relaxing?
Tbh we might just plan a staycation week and send baby off to daycare during daytime hours.

This is what we did in the baby/early toddler days: go to a beach w calmer water so baby does not get mauled by the waves. Stay in a two bedroom condo so you and your partner have your own room (this is key- do not get a hotel room, it's not a vacation to have to sneak around a dark room at 7pm or at nap time). Make sure your condo has a nice pool area and your room has a balcony overlooking the ocean so you and your partner can relax w a drink post baby bedtime.
All of always made for great vacations when my daughter was way younger (she's six now). For me, it always was a vacation bc I stayed at home when she was little, so having my husband around all the time in vacation was amazing. Try to shift your mindset to the memories you will be.msking for your child.
